HOTELS

Good morning Henrik,

Thank you for your email, we had a fabulous holiday at the Biniglaus Vell, it was absolutely stunning and the food was excellent even though the menu was the same every evening. We dined at the hotel for four evenings. It was the perfect escape from the crowds on Menorca and a central base for exploring easily.

Unfortunately with my broken toe, I wasn’t able to walk down to the Caves or the local beach from the hotel but Philip and Charlotte took an early morning stroll to the caves which they said were amazing!

Would you like to write a couple of general sentences about your stay?

We had a fabulous holiday at the Biniglaus Vell, it was absolutely stunning. The staff were efficient, attentive and friendly and the food was excellent at both breakfast and dinner. It was the perfect escape; an oasis of calm from the crowds on Menorca and a central base to get out and about and explore the island.

Many thanks Henrik for your recommendations and help.

Best wishes

Hi Henrik, We really liked Menorca thanks- and enjoyed discovering new places. Pls see my feedback below. Very peaceful location; tricky to drive to if you are a nervous driver otherwise lovely and remote; pool lovely and quiet. How would you rate the following from 1-5 where 5 is the best rating: Service: 3 (staff helpful when they are asked but not pro-active. We stayed 7 nights and apart from check-in the manager never once asked us if everything was ok or we needed any help/advice, etc. No staff onsite overnight which is very odd for the size of hotel. Also means that it seems that none of the staff are really invested in the hotel – they just work there- didn’t seems to have a passion for the hotel or clients. It would help if the hotel suggested a list of local restaurants Food: Breakfast very good – had dinner twice which was good but not as good as other places locally – menu never changed in 7 days ie no specials, etc. No lunch available even when requested in the morning- not able to even do a sandwich! Very odd for this size of hotel. Would be much more sociable to have the bar area on the main building to help the guests socialize- it was apart from the restaurant in a separate building – so in the evening no-where to go and sit if too cold/dark to be outside. Cleanliness: very good; had to ask for replacement room toiletries though as not all replaced so ran out. Value for money: ok – compared to Can Faustino – which was only E50 per night more the CF was much much better. Sleep quality: Good- comfortable room and bed; very quiet Would you recommend the hotel to a friend? Yes-along with my comments above. Regards

Would you recommend the hotel to a friend? YES Hotel in lovely, quiet location. Very attractive garden grounds and pool area. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food was generally very good although a couple of meals were a little disappointing. Will probably stay again in the future. Henrik All were 5 but one thing I would say - there was no hair conditioner to be had at all - or a nail file, tiny things but for girls with long hair/nails it would be a good touch!  But they were extremely friendly and also very helpful. Thank you so much!

Dear Henrik, We had a lovely time at Binigaus Vell.  The hotel was beautiful and I would certainly go there again.  All the staff were extremely friendly and couldn’t do enough for you.  The hotel was spotless and we both slept very well.   It is a little pricey but no more expensive than similar sized boutique hotels.  The food was very good but we had an unseasonably hot week and didn’t really want anything too heavy and would have preferred maybe tapas or a salad on a couple of occasions, but that wasn’t a problem as we walked into the town on the recommendations of the staff and had two very enjoyable meals there (they even leant us a torch for our walk back). I would certainly recommend this hotel to friends and rate it as follows :- Service 5 Food 4 Cleanliness  5 Value for money  4 Sleep quality  5 Thanks also to you Henrik for pointing us in the direction of this hotel.  I’m sure we will be in touch again next year. Kind regards

Dear Henrik, Thank you for your help in booking Binigaus Vell. It was an excellent choice and spot on for our needs. Service: 5 Food: 5 Cleanliness: 5 Value for money: 4 Sleep quality: 5 We would certainly recommend this hotel and we hope to return. The staff were charming and helpful and organised riding and kayaking for us as well as giving us advice re beaches, walks, trips out, etc.  Anna, in particular, could not have done more for us. The setting is delightful, peaceful and elegant, with beautiful grounds and a superb pool. Rooms are fairly simple for the price, but evening meals were of a very high standard, and we recommend dining on the terrace and enjoying the sunset. We will certainly seek your advice when booking another trip. Thank you again,

It is situated 20-30 minutes from the beach at Binigaus and around 10-15 minutes from the spectacular cova des Coloms, accessible through protected pine groves and scenery of incomparable beauty.
