Sa Galera:

Service: 5 for Maria 

Food: 4 for breakfast . 3 for meal 

Cleanliness: 4 ( our bathroom had a bad smell but I think it came from the pipes or sewers ) 

Value for money: 4 

Sleep quality: 5 

Definitely need a car.

Restaurant only open from Thursday - Sunday and booking is essential - they turned away guests of the hotel who had just checked in but hadn’t booked a table  , even though there were only a few diners!! 

Santanyi had a festival on last week so we ate there most nights as there was plenty of choice of restaurants. 
 

Can Verdera : 

Service: 5 

Food: 5 for breakfast 

Cleanliness:  5 

Value for money: 4 - quite expensive but a real treat 

Sleep quality:  5 ¡

We loved Fornalutx . We ate in 5 different restaurants and had 5 really lovely meals . 

There was a good buzz without being overcrowded.

A village with lots of character and beautiful surroundings.

We were happy with both choices of hotel .

We would stay at Can verdera again as there is more we would like to see in that area.

We had a lovely at Sa Galera, thank you and would find it difficult to justify anything less than a score of 5 for the points below.  We would be more than happy to recommend the hotel to anyone – the grounds were lovely, the pool area was great, as was the sauna house.   That area of the island is very beautiful, with some of the prettiest beaches we’ve been to anywhere.   We were pleased to have had a hire car as that was a must in that area of the island, and we would definitely like to return one day.

Hi Henrik, Below is the answers to your questions ref our stay in Majorca, I have separated the replies out for each hotel.How would you rate the following from 1-5 where 5 is the best rating:  CAN REUS Service: 5 Food: 5 Breakfast every day was different great choice. Cleanliness: 4 (Water glasses not cleaned each day) Value for money: 5 Sleep quality: 4 (A/C unit was over bed and noisy) Would you recommend the hotel to a friend? Yes.  The hotel was in easy walking distance to many restaurants and cafes. Would you like to write a couple of general sentences about your stay? Sue and Nick were very helpful e.g. suggesting restaurants and walks they ensured we had all we needed to make our holiday relaxed and enjoyable. Views from the terrace were fantastic as was the breakfast. SA GALERA How would you rate the following from 1-5 where 5 is the best rating:  Service: 4 Food: 3 Breakfast same every day. A very quiet and peacefull holiday. The staff were helpful and very obliging. As have said a car is essential as the hotel is in a remote area about 2k from the nearest village. Hi Henrik, We had a fantastic time – have detailed the scores you requested below. The first week at Can Reus was brilliant, the staff in particular were so helpful and friendly, especially Andréa. The breakfast was fresh and different everyday – local Majorcan food served outside every morning. The coffee was made fresh every day also. The room was fine but found the bed a little uncomfortable, overall though very good. The second week at Sa Galera was again brilliant – staff friendly, location perfect, Hotel great. Food – not brilliant – Breakfast every morning was the same, Tea and Coffee from a machine that was average. The choice at breakfast, although plentiful was the same every day but nothing special. The dinner menu was limited in choice, only had dinner their on two nights, the first being the day we arrived. Given that the hotel is surrounded by restaurants we were expecting something a little special. Overall would I stay in both hotels again – yes Did we both enjoy ourselves – yes Would we recommend to friends – yes Hope my comments are of some assistance Regards
