The only reason the food is a 4 is there was no variation in the breakfast the buffet was exactly the same every day, and sometimes there were a lot of flies around the food. But this is a very small thing - we had the best holiday we absolutely loved it!

We had the most amazing holiday at son Cosmet. Apolonia and her team went out of their way to ensure everything was perfect.

We had a wonderful time, thank you so much for your recommendations.
We stumbled across this website and immediately Henrik helped us find exactly what we were looking for. 
Henrik quickly found us availability in 3 stunning places, and also gave us much needed inside knowledge about local places to visit. 
I highly recommend Rural Hotels and will definitely be using them again. 
Before we discovered you and your excellent website we had already booked into Hotel Llenaire, which I now see is on your website as well, so  basically we stayed in three places which you recommended and we love them all.
Definitely all 5 out of 5 on all your ratings.
Son Cosmet
A real gem, lots of space and beautifully done in classic understated elegance. The plants and garden around the house are stunning and the pool by the olive trees is a peaceful retreat. It's Apolonias family estate and she looked after us so well.
El Encinar
Lovely peaceful rural hotel, run beautifully by Dolores who makes a delicious paella and was so helpful in many ways.
Llenaire
More a hotel than agri-tourism, wonderful service by a dedicated team. Led by Miguel who's family have owned the house for ever. Grand, high ceiling rooms, with beautiful old furniture and paintings.
Do ask Miguel's son Tony to put you through your paces on the tennis court - quite a work out! 

Hi Henrick, I've been meaning to email you to say thanks for the brilliant advice. We really enjoyed son cosmet and had a super time. We would give a 5 in all areas and would/ have already recommended the hotel and yourselves. This historic hotel is immaculate and very spacious. All the staff are very friendly and the location is very central. We really enjoyed our stay here and felt totally relaxed. Very impressed. Thank you again Hendricks.

Henrick, We had a very enjoyable holiday and we will recommend you to anyone looking to stay inland in Mallorca. I would rate the accommodation as follows: Son Cosmet: Service 9, Food 7, Cleanliness 10, VFM 8 ,Sleep quality 8. Very quite hotel, excellent swimming pool, lovely host, only negative were the flies which may have been a one off, but I think it was down to the horses.  Son Gener: Service 9, Food 9.5, Cleanliness 9, VFM 9, Sleep quality 9. Excellent hotel I preferred this to Son cosmet, and hopefully will return, beautiful room, excellent decor, we ate in 4 out of 5 as  food and setting were superb. Only negative was that they didn't replace or remove dead flowers, and towels weren't replaced when placed in bath. But this didn't affect our enjoyment. Thank you Kind regards

Henrik, Many thanks for helping us with our recent holiday in Mallorca - your two centre suggestion was a great success as we could explore both the north and the south more leisurely. The Son Sant Jordi in Pollenca is beautifully located in a quiet square a few minutes walk from the centre and we enjoyed a pleasant stroll after eating at either one of the restaurants in Pollenca or in the hotel. The restaurant staff were an absolute delight and Ana most helpful. The courtyard garden is a most relaxing haven and the choice at breakfast was stunning!! The Son Cosmet is one of the most beautiful hotels we have ever stayed in and its location is one of great peace and serenity. Appolonia is a real treasure and the Veal evening meal we had on two occasions was out of this world!! Both hotels are worthy of 5 stars and we would recommend them both to friends and family. Once again thank you for helping us organise our holiday and we wish you every success with your agency. We may look at Tuscany next year.

Hi Henrik, We had a lovely couple of days at Son Cosmet, very quiet and relaxing. Beautiful pool/area, and a really interesting collection of buildings. I would give the hotel a 5 on all counts, the staff were very helpful and friendly and although we only had lunch on our last day it was fresh and beautifully presented. I would recommend the hotel to friends if they were looking to stay in the area.  Thanks again for your assistance

Dear Henrik, I have given my marks below. The place itself is a lovely venue but it came across as a bit confused as to what it is trying to provide. It is extremely quiet, to the point we did not feel very relaxed having young kids there. When we got there, nobody was about. It may have been siesta time but it literally took us 20 mins to find someone to help us and eventually get keys to our rooms. The pool is fantastic but with adults sleeping or reading peacefully around it the kids could not really have a play and enjoy themselves. Of course we could have let our kids run riot but we are not like that. Other than breakfast, which was excellent, they really let themselves down on food. I am fairly certain that pizzas and chips or spaghetti Bolognese (which was really awful!) are not local Mallorcan cuisine. The A/C did not work in either bedroom. When we did encounter a member of staff they were very friendly and helpful. So, in my opinion, they should decide to either be a family friendly hotel which would mean one of the numerous outbuildings could have a table tennis table, pool table, pinball machine, board games etc in it. Kids could make noise and not worry anyone, or they go the no kids under 16 route. Either way they should sort out the kitchen. I note you cover Tuscany. If I were the hotel inspector I would send someone from Son Cosmet to Castello di Spaltenna and have a look at what they do. Very similar lovely buildings and surroundings. The difference being we always feel utterly relaxed at Spaltenna, the kids have fun which means we do and, most of all, the food is simply superb. The beach was lovely but extremely busy – it was a Spanish holiday so fair enough.  All the best,

Hi Henrik, Just a line to thank you for all your help in setting up our stay at Son Cosmet. It was delightful, very relaxing and just what the doctor ordered. Everything about the hotel was first class and nothing was too much trouble for Damia and his team. They were very welcoming, made us feel at home and were always on hand in an unobtrusive way. The room we were allocated was smashing with it’s own private terrace, although I feel it would further benefit from tea/coffee making facilities, but that is a minor observation. We would certainly be very happy to return and took the advantage of scoping out a couple of other hotels on your website, again all looked to be pretty special. We were thoroughly impressed by the way you set up our holiday and answered all our queries (even the daft one of not taking the full address of the hotel!) promptly. Henrik, We are all together chatting about our holiday in Mallorca and realised that we hadn’t answered your request for a review. Firstly, we really appreciate how quickly you managed to put together a package for us, introducing us to a part of the island that was unfamiliar to us and is indeed very special. We loved our stay at Son Cosmet, the rooms, the bed linen, the extremely high standards of cleanliness. The staff were friendly helpful and discreet. Somehow someone would always seem to appear when we needed something! The surroundings were stunningly well maintained and it felt luxurious without any sense of ostentatiousness. We just loved it! However, we think it’s important for you to know that Monaber Nou was in sharp contrast. Although the landscape was impressive as was the main building, it felt shabby and cheaply equipped. The apartment kitchen was barely usable as it was so poorly equipped. There was nothing there to help you keep the kitchen clean and yet the maid service did not include the kitchen. The sofa was old and dirty as was the outdoor furniture. For a superior apartment, the view was less than superior with the car park on one side and a wall on the other. The air con was inadequate for the space, we were lucky that the weather was cool. The noise and smell from the kitchen air con was pretty off-putting. So too were the cats, that seemed to be everywhere including the dining room! On the other hand, we really enjoyed the pool and spa area with its bar and the food in the restaurant was very good quality. The majority of the staff were very polite and helpful although there was an air of low morale. But generally, the standards did not reflect the inflated prices. For 4 star prices it felt like a 2 star establishment. In summary, though we had a fantastic time and are so grateful for all you did for us at such short notice. We’ve recommended both your website and Son Cosmet many times since our return. Kindest regards,

Dear Henrik In reply to your e mail regarding Son Cosmet. Service : Staff were welcoming and efficient Food : Breakfast was good. An evening meal would be provided on request, however they did not seem to encourage this hence on our first evening when we did stay we were the only people eating and therefore there was no atmosphere. Cleanliness : Absolutely spotless. Value for money : Ok Sleep Quality : Large bed, very quiet. Would definitely recommend. A lovely serene place to stay for a very relaxing holiday with lots of attention to detail. A real find ! Kind regards

The hotel is a little way outside the local town and sits in a beautiful park. It is a stunning building with unique rooms, ours was deep within the thick stone walls which felt like being in a castle. Despite this we had a very efficient bath room and a flat screen tv. Our dinner was served outside on the terrace with the company of bats and an owl!! The swimming pool arracted lots of swifts in the evening and there were hoopoes on the grass The down side is that it wasnt very clear when we arrives where everything was and although we could have had a cooling drink which was provided again we had to ask another guest as there was no bar and no staff around. The menu was very simple and we needed to order the morning before, there were only 3 for dinner on our first night and ourselves on the second Despite these small reservations it is a very special place to stay and we hope to visit again How would you rate the following from 1-5 where 5 is the best rating: Service: 4 Food: 3 Cleanliness: 5 Value for money:3 Sleep quality:10 Would you recommend the hotel to a friend? Dear Henrik Our stay at San Cosmet was all too short!!! What a lovely place, total relaxation and tranquillity. The grounds and the surroundings, including the horses and a foal added to the enjoyment of our stay.The swimming pool and area – perfect. The 13th century building and antiques, our bedroom and both the dining room and outside dining area, delightful. The views stunning. A discreet and quiet place away from the busy tourist areas of Majorca. Good restaurants within easy driving distance. Thank you for your recommendation. We would certainly recommend the hotel to friends. We hope to visit again for a longer stay. Food – 5 – breakfast a veritable feast and the evening meal we asked if they could provide on the first evening was excellent Service – 5 the young lady who served at breakfast and our evening meal was delightful.
