Back home to a very hot and busy time in England! We had some interesting weather in Majorca - spectacular storms with plenty of sun in between.
We enjoyed Pleta de Mar very much - we would definitely stay again - the design/decor/setting/garden are all great - no complaints on any score and the food is delicious.  Thank you for kindly treating us to dinner on the first evening - we met Marc Fosh during the time we were there - charming guy and unexpectedly English! All the staff very nice.
The decor of hotel was a nice contrast to Son Net which has gone even more in the other direction. Still very beautiful and a lot of the staff we remember. Their new Spa will be something else when it’s complete.

Another successful visit to the magic isle and thank you for your help. The transfers were top class, nothing to fault at all.

The staff were very friendly, efficient and good fun, as good as anywhere we have stayed.

Having stayed at Pleta de Mar we found Font Santa just a little bit dated and slightly tired. 

We had a great holiday.

Thanks Henrik and I hope you are well. Sorry for the very delayed reply but I always intended to respond and so here it is.

We had a very nice holiday. It is a fantastic hotel and we would return. Any comments that might detract from the previous two sentences are meant as constructive criticism and are, inevitably, subjective and represent to some extent our personal preferences, 'though some of the comments will be universal.

This was a real surprise especially as we thought we were going to Italy. However with the help of Rural Hotels Mallorca we booked a stay at Pleta del Mar and we were thrilled with our stay. The accommodation is new, functional, very clean and well looked after. The food was exceptional and among the best of the many hotels we have been fortunate enough to stay at across Europe. The staff are willing to assist, knowledgeable and friendly. We will definitely return and have already recommended it and Rural Hotels Mallorca to friends.  

How would you rate the following from 1-5 where 5 is the best rating: 
Service: 4 Very good. However, we did think the service at the swimming pool area was not of a high standard, let alone 5 star. The app to order food and drinks (even water!) did not work most of the time and there was no substitute plan in place. Also to clean the swimming pool area at 11 am in the morning (often) is simply not good enough by any standards. Overall this was an area they can improve upon with ease but frankly it was not up to scratch.
Food: 5 This was an eye opener. We love Italian food and as you know we thought we were going on holiday to Italy but the food here was exceptional. We loved all the food. We would say that on the last day it seemed the chef changed and the food was noticeably not of the same high standard. 
Cleanliness: 4 Very good, cleaning staff very friendly and efficient. 
Value for money: 4 
Sleep quality: 4

Would you recommend the hotel to a friend? Yes.

In Tuscany I suggest you visit il Pellicano, it is exceptional and I would say the standard for Pleta del Mar to achieve especially when it comes to service and facilities in the swimming area. On the other hand I will suggest to il Pellicano they visit Pleta del Mar for the food.

Hi Hendrik, Thanks for your note. Enjoyed the holiday but unfortunately the weather was really disappointing most of the time, bad luck really. My comments are as below, hope it helps and let’s keep in touch. How would you rate the following from 1-5 where 5 is the best rating: Service: 5, Food: Dinner 3, Breakfast 5, Cleanliness: 5, Value for money: 3, Sleep quality: Room was delightful with bed and pillows exceptionally comfortable 5. Would you recommend the hotel to a friend? Perhaps but with explanation re its status as a Nature Hotel. Would you like to write a couple of general sentences about your stay? All Staff including the GM in particular were incredible, really nice people and they worked hard to ensure everyone is happy. The hotel is expensive but the position is excellent overlooking the sea. The bar and restaurants are well positioned with beautiful views and the sister hotel is lovely. Personally we don’t think the concept of a luxury hotel in a Nature setting works very well. A good example was our room. Well positioned but looking straight onto a natural wild area which is left as that. This encourages a lot different insects and mosquitos in particular were a major problem, partly due to the humidity, but bad enough in that we could not sit outside in the evenings and were forced to have the air conditioning on all the time. The whole area would be more attractive if it were maintained as the gardens by the main pool and restaurants much more attractive in our view. Hope this helps. Hi Henrik, Thanks for your email.  We had a great time in Mallorca. Thanks for organizing everything. I have rated the hotels below.  They were both really nice.  Pleta de Mar was really lovely, a step above Font Santa.  The rooms were great and the service was really excellent. Font Santa is quite close to a main road but our room was far enough away.   We had a very relaxing time at both. I think they are both quite expensive but we knew that before we went. Best

It is a new hotel so it is expected that they will try hard but the staff were excellent and very helpful. They also appeared to be happy which is a good sign of a well run hotel.
