I’ve stayed in a lot of rural hotels and I’ve never had a welcome as I had at this one. We will return. We were so well treated all my stress and angst disappeared as we walked through the food!  Amaka is one amazing woman and Mika was just brilliant. Food was wonderful. Pool area was so well laid out and relaxing. Lots of shade. Thank you for this recommendation.  We wished we’d returned there fir our last 4 days!!!

All went well after our three hour flight delay which was boring! Son Pons was as lovely as usual they unfortunately had had a major thunderstorm so water was a little short did not bother us! But sadly the air conditioning didn’t work either and it was very hot. However they were very good on two counts on theTuesday fitted a new unit and then gave me a discount on my final bill which was very kind but it had been unbearably hot!

How would you rate the following from 1-5 where 5 is the best rating: 

Service:  5

Food: 4. I'd give it a 5 but the choice for children was limited. That said they were incredibly helpful in making a dish for my daughter who doesn't eat much meat. I would also agree with other comments that they should provide fresh coffee - not a machine. It is very easy to have fresh coffee these days. 

Cleanliness: 4 - the bathroom is quite tired now

Value for money: 4

Sleep quality: 4 - we were on a ground floor room and because the bathroom doors slide, we were woken up every time the room above us used the bathroom and slid the door open. I'd strongly suggest they oiled the doors...

Would you recommend the hotel to a friend? For sure

I’m sorry for the delay in responding. We had a lovely time at both Son Pons and El Elcinar. Both were comfortable and clean. The reception we got was friendly and very welcoming. Although the front of staff at El Elcinar (Delores) was exceptional. She went above and beyond to ensure that all our needs were catered for. She was just lovely with everyone. We would go back to both places (although we rarely go back anywhere-the world is too big!)

Yes we had a good time at Son Pons thank you.

It is in a lovely peaceful rural setting. The accommodation was very nice if a bit rustic(rough concrete floors).

Only downside really was the little biting insects in the vicinity.

Anaka who did a lot of the cooking as well as the waiting on tables and reception duties was very nice as were the other staff and the food was always superb although 2 nights they did not do evening meals so we went to the Pizza places in Campanet. Which was fine.

She was a bit overloaded with work, not much help.

Given the above we would recommend the Hotel to a friend.

I just wanted to email to thank you for such a lovely stay at Son Pons last week. We had such a wonderful time and it was just what we needed after a rather busy summer of work and numerous friends weddings!

Elke thank you for being so helpful with local, beach and restaurant recommendations. It was incredibly useful to have you around each day and really added to the friendly atmosphere of the hotel.

Dinner on both nights we stayed at Son Pons was absolutely delicious - the tabbouleh, chocolate fondant and paella being particular highlights.

Amaka is also a huge asset to the hotel, her cooking and smiling persona are already being sorely missed back in UK!

If we could change anything it would be the quality of the coffee offered at breakfast but this is very much a suggestion rather than a complaint.

Apart from that we cannot fault the hotel and want to renew our thanks for such a lovely holiday.

We very much hope to be back in the future but wish you all well in the meantime.

Really enjoyed our stay and felt welcomed and well looked after. As improvements; it would have been good for us if the rooms had had; Tissues, dressing gown(s) and a kettle (though this was provided on request). Really like the idea of Agrotourisme and would go down this route again of returning to Mallorca (though the weather let us down) How would you rate the following from 1-5 where 5 is the best rating: Service:4 – the people were good (especially Amaka) – just that on occasions there seemed to be too much for limited staff numbers to cope with Food:2 – Breakfast / 5 – evening meal – I really missed decent coffee for breakfast; there was a Nescafe machine which was not pleasant. Also, a greater range of fresh fruit (perhaps already prepared?). The evening meals were really good and, again, the service was great Cleanliness:5 – no complaints, Value for money:4 – would have been a 5 if there had been decent coffee, Sleep quality:5. Dear Henrik, What a lovely peaceful hotel, almost like being in your own Villa but with everything done for you!  The service was superb, if anything was wrong it was mended immediately, couldn’t be more helpful booking restaurants etc.  The room was fantastic, so spacious with lots of places too store things with a fantastic bathroom and very comfortable large bed. All very clean. The only thing was the TV did not have many English channels!  But it was very cool and we hardly needed to use Air Con.  The idea of our little sitting out terrace with sun lounger and parasol was fantastic making it more private and the pool was lovely, never over crowded.  The breakfast was great could squeeze your own fresh orange juice and plenty  of selection.  We did not have dinner there though it was available. So we  would give them 5 for everything. Thank you so much and yes would def recommend to a friend suggest they book room 7!  but just add that it is rural and you have to drive everywhere, which was fine for us as I don’t drink! However it is reasonable close to some very good restaurants. Regards

Dear Henrik, We enjoyed our stay at these two hotels immensely. Son Pons, as you advised, is very different to the other hotel. We discovered the Albufera park not very far away, with its turtles and birds. Lounging by the pool was also so easy. The other hotel, Mat i Vent, the scenery at Banyalbufar is always stunning, and the water in the cove warm. Walking to Estellencz and Port es Calonge was easy. Dramatic weather overtook us on one walk- I guess that's the risk at this time of year. With so many eating places in Banyalbufar, we could go a different place each night. Son Tomas was best for its sunset and Paella.  Thanks for mediating our visit so efficiently

Ciao Henrik! How are you? Thank you for your interest! Our mallorcan holiday has been great! Beautiful Island and the Son Pons finca hotel perfect for us! The rural hotel Son Pons finca has been perfect for our holiday, in the countryside of Mallorca closed to the little town of Bùger, a peacefull place in the nature.  The hotel is an old traditional house restored with a beautiful garden all around and has got just 11 rooms, so is quiet in the middle of August too.  In the morning there' s a huge breakfast with many products of the agrirurisme perfect for any nationality. There are different kind of rooms, we were in the wood one, with a nice terrace and it's been comfortable. The beaches are 20 minutes far away by car, but the Son Pons is in the perfect area to discover the north area of Tramontana.  I will be back soon! Thank you Claudia for your hospitality in Son Pons and thanks Henrik for your usefull suggestions so preciouse!  I give you our ratings: Food: 5 for the amazing breakfast, we haven't tried the restaurant. The comfort is fine but quite basic. The food (at night) is not their specialty however. Service and kindness. We were made very welcome on arrival by Amaca, who got our stay off to a great start with champagne on the terrace. The hotel is beautiful and very relaxing. The breakfast was a wonderful buffet that ran until 10.30 am. A beautiful setting in the countryside that is expertly run by Claudia, who was the perfect hostess!
