Hi Henrik,

Loved the hotel and fabulous service. As you know I’ve been before and the return trip impressed me just the same.

What’s great about L’Avenida is that is so personal. Nothing is too much trouble and it’s a place that you can completely relax and do as you please.

The pool area is a proper haven and to think you are just a street away from the bustling square is unbelievable.

The decor oozes luxury and proper boutique hotel class. Breakfast is great and really high quality - along with lots of special touches that make the experience stand out. I love it start to finish.

It’s only fair to point out that as you are so central guests must expect some noise - rooms at the front will hear a bit of road noise and where the school is open you will hear children playing from the pool. If you want complete tranquility then you’re better to choose a remote hotel - but you don’t get the advantage of being able to walk to fabulous restaurants and bars, strolling through the shops and such easy access to the bus for more exploring - or like me a short run direct from the door to great trails. This hotel is everything.

This is my go to hotel for all of these reasons. My haven that ticks all of the boxes for me - and especially this time as I travelled alone. Matthew and Karen give great service and are always on hand to help. Feel like friends.

5/5 for everything - and the bit of noise I mentioned a very happy compromise for me to make.

Hope this helps and see you again. Soon I hope!

Henrik,

Yes we had an absolutely wonderful time and will definitely be needing your help again.

Avenida
Staff were so welcoming and helpful , breakfast was just right  , we had a lovely big room that opened up onto the pool area . My only issue is that the pool courtyard is very small and did feel a little hemmed in and being a town hotel it was quite noisy , but a cracking hotel all the same .

Cap Rocat
Instantly relaxing , the view upon arrival is just jaw dropping and the hotel is a haven of tranquillity and ultra-top service . Not cheap but you get what you pay for . Not sure the hotel can be topped .

Can Simonetta
The views across the gardens to the open sea set this hotel apart , initially given room 2 which is totally uninspiring too small and typical of a cheap hotel chain , but a quick word with the receptionist and they found us another room in the beach house . The fact that you can walk straight into Canyamel or over to the sister hotel provides a variety restaurants , both restaurants top class . The steps down  the cliffs to sea level  is a must do , after a big storm  the waves were huge so unsafe for bathing  but that just added an extra level of  drama .

I would recommend all of these hotels to friends dependant on what they want from their visit .

Thanks again

Hi Henrik, Thanks for your email. We had a great time and really enjoyed moving around the island. Here is some feedback as requested which I’m happy for you to use in full or in parts as you see fit. Lavenida: 2 nights, Luxury Suite: Lovely to spend a couple of days in this village. We have always enjoyed our time there. Lavenida is a fantastic townhouse hotel and has everything you need to explore the village. Great restaurant recommendations and, in fact, all the suggestions and help of the staff was top notch. It is probably owned by someone British and the management, most the staff are British which obviously changes its feel from a Spanish hotel. This was not a problem at all, but for anyone looking for there total Spanish feel/welcome then they should be aware. Son Jaumell: 5 nights, Junior suite, garden terrace: Great start to the holiday as it was a very relaxed place. Peaceful. Easy to get to various beaches and worth doing research on these first to find the less crowded and less touristy ones. Enjoyed a couple of trips to Arta. Food at hotel was good although we were expecting better given the Michelin star chef.  Can Simoneta: 3 nights, Pitch roof, sea view, chill area: Fantastic location and space to this hotel. Food and service excellent and can definitely see ourselves popping back there for short breaks from the UK. The gardens, views, access to beach and the carved steps to the secret cove were all fantastic. We had two meals there in the evening and both didn’t disappoint. The style of all the rooms were lovely. Our room had great views but didn’t realise it was going to be up in the eaves of the building. Thought it would at least have a balcony or terrace. The designated chill out area for it was not welcoming - no view, no umbrella, nothing special to it. We didn't use it. There were plenty of ‘public’ chill out areas that were much better. Cap Rocat: 4 nights, Suite Cap Rocat. We immediately realised why this hotel was considerably more than the others! Unique place, very special and superbly done. For those wanting complete peace and quiet and get away from life then this hotel does just that. Not many local places of note so not a good base for exploring, but you don’t want to leave the place in the first place! Loved the breakfast concept to it being delivered to your terrace at any time that suited you. Our latest was 1245 and was no issue - a lovely long brunch! Our suite (29 I think) only had a spiral staircase to the roof terrace while the others looked like they had stairs and a couple of terraces. If we had any mobility problems then the terrace wouldn’t have been accessible to us. I felt we had the lowest ’standard’ suite. But the hotel oozed class with the staff looking like they were out of perfume adverts and the clientele from Philippe Patek adverts. Ate the the Sea Club a couple of times and found the quality excellent, backed with stunning views across the Bay. Again a hotel which would completely recharge the batteries after a few days there. The staff were excellent - not too stuffy and happy to help at all times. Being sea lovers, the little beach and access steps to the crystal water was a real bonus. It seemed most people used the infinity pool which had fabulous views. As you’d expect from a hotel of this size with only a few rooms, there was never a feeling of being crowded. I look forward to travelling with you again as I like the intimate knowledge you have of the region and I feel there are plenty of other good hotels still to be discovered. Thank you very much Henrik for organising the trip and I hope you are having a successful season. Kind regards

Hi Henrik, Tanya and Paul -  just a note to say thankyou for the recommendation of L'Aveninda. We have had the most wonderful stay! Chilled from start to finish. Fabulous rooms; wonderfully helpful staff; perfect ambience; effortless decadence! Stoller is a such a fabulous find. Far too many brilliant restaurants to visit in 4 days so without a doubt we will need to come back sometime. We were trying to look for suggestions of things to improve - but can't think of any!!! Please pass our thanks to your lovely, lovely team - Laura, Karen, Patrick and everyone else we came into contact with as well as those that we did not from behind the scenes. Thankyou for a brilliant holiday. We feel thoroughly spoilt!

Dear Henrik, In reply to your email we enjoyed our holiday at LAvenida very much . We would rate it. 5 for everything except which I would rate sleep quality 4 as we do like fresh air at night and we were unable to open a window ( as there wasn't one ) . We would definitely recommend the hotel to our friends. The staff were very helpful and mad us very welcome ..We had chosen the area to go walking in and they gave us lots of information about the local walks and even lent us maps . Please let them know how much they contributed to making our holiday a great success.  Thank you

Hello Henrik, Feedback below. We very much enjoyed Soller (and Mallorca generally). Hi Henrik, We had a wonderful time, the hotel was perfect for us and Soller is a wonderful spot. A fantastic weekend break really. Responses below as requested! How would you rate the following from 1-5 where 5 is the best rating:  Service: 5 Food: 4 - Simple breakfast but was nice Cleanliness: 5 - The hotel was well kept and spotless Value for money: 4 - but we were paying for the best location in Soller I guess. Sleep quality: 5 Would you recommend the hotel to a friend? Yes, we I have already. Also recommended you and your site as appreciate your effort/advice. Would you like to write a couple of general sentences about your stay? The L'Avenida is in Sollers most grand street and is the perfect location just a few minutes from the main town square. The rooms are well appointed and the bed was comfortable. Despite being right in the centre of Soller, the hotel is really peaceful. The pool area was a great place to have breakfast and to relax.I would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a stylish hotel, with excellent service right in the centre of town.

Service 5 Food 5 Cleanliness 5 Value for money 5 Sleep quality 5 We already have recommended the hotel to a friend, they made us feel very welcome and we would certainly go back for another visit. Soller was a great destination for us,with very pretty walks and nice eating places within walking distance.

Hi Henrick, I would give service, cleanliness value and sleep quality all 5 stars. The staff we amazing and so so helpful and the hotel is beautiful. The food was the only downside as breakfast was pretty basic considering what we paid for B&B. Also if you want lunch you have to  order it at 11am to be delivered later menaing everything feels a bit rushed. Other than that it was perfect.

AM 06/15

Dear Henrik, Just a note to say what a great recommendation this was! Just what we wanted. Small quiet, friendly, comfortable, efficient, excellently located, good value  – and the sun shone for 4 days! We would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone! Best wishes

Dear Henrik Thank you for your interest – we did very much enjoy our stay in Soller. For your information: Service – 5 Food – 4 Cleanliness- 5 Value for money -4 Sleep quality-5 I would recommend the hotel to a friend particularly as the helpful advice from both Matthew and Laura was excellent and helped us to discover some fantastic restaurants. I would probably advise visitors to book a room upstairs, rather than a garden room, as I found the room a bit dark and perhaps would have preferred a view rather than being able to sit outside our room.(although in the height of summer I am sure is an advantage) A beautiful hotel, centrally located with a welcoming atmosphere.
