HOTELS

Hotel Guia provided excellent service, the food was of a high standard , particularly breakfast and the place as a whole was spotlessly clean. The swimming pool was very welcome !

Guests with a car should book the hotel spaces in advance . Parking in the town is a nightmare with cars towed away at the drop of a hat .

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel El Guia, Soller. I would rate it 5 in every category.  The staff were always very friendly and helpful.
The food in the restaurant was delicious. Soller is a beautiful town. We would most definitely return.

All went well.  We loved the hotel and staff. The Executive room was nice which we stayed in for 4 nights. The view wasn't too bad as the mountains were all around.
Loved the location and of course I did some great and memorable rides. None of this would have been possible without your help.

Thank you for your e-mail, I was planning to send you a review of our week in Soller.

Hotel  El Guia was a surprise and not at all what I was expecting. Unfortunately we had booked a suite, which turned out to be on the third floor up quite steep stairs with no lift.

Going up and down the stairs was quite a challenge.   The “suite” itself was excellent, plenty of room, generous storage space, comfortable beds and a clean roomy bathroom.

The only disappointment was the liquid soap dispensers, they were very difficult to use. We resorted to buying a bar of soap to use during our stay.

The staff at the hotel were excellent, very helpful and informative.

The location of the hotel was also excellent, only a short walk to the trams and trains and less than a hundred yards to the main square which was filled with bars and restaurants.

We didn’t try the hotel  restaurant in the evening, even though it had a good reputation, because we were very disappointed by the standard of the breakfasts on offer.

Although scrambled eggs, bacon, beans etc. were on offer they were, at best, only lukewarm and although there was a good range of fruit, nuts, cereals, bread, cheese etc the way they were presented was not what we would expect in a 4 star hotel.  Half way through the week the staff serving breakfast changed and there was a marked improvement in the level of presentation, if not temperature. Overall the breakfast was disappointing and the reason we didn’t try the evening restaurant.

Although the hotel was not exactly what we were expecting we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and considered it good value for money.

Would I recommend the hotel? Yes I would, but I would warn friends our age about the lack of a lift.

If there is any part of this review that you would like me to clarify please do not hesitate to give me a ring.

Best wishes,

I recently had a very enjoyable stay at your beautiful hotel with my friend Shirley Mackay, from 30/5/24 to 2/6/24.

I will happily rate a maximum of 5 for Service, Food, Cleanliness, Value for money and Sleep quality. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis with plenty of choices which were delicious.

We were so comfortable and relaxed, nothing was too much trouble and the staff were very attentive. I would definitely stay again and will recommend to our friends.

All in all a wonderful break.

Our stay at Hotel Guia was a delight. I would give a 5 rating to all the categories you listed, except perhaps for Food. We only had breakfast, which was acceptable, but really only warranted a 3/4 rating.

The hotel suited us as it was more traditionally Spanish, and not the somewhat faceless hotels that one tends to find when using holiday booking sites.
With regard to your services, I can only speak highly of them. Thank you very much for everything.

We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday in Soller. All in all a very positive experience and very relaxing.
We have visited many times before always staying at The Grand Hotel. The Hotel Guia was a great alternative and good value for money. I would rate all categories a 5 with the exception of food which would be a 4.

The transfers went smoothly.

We would recommend the hotel to friends.

We did spend the first night of our holiday in the neighbouring Casa Hinges as the hotel was over booked and they had to ask someone to move. It was nicely dealt with we were given a choice - not told we had to move. Casa Hinges was lovely - certainly no hardship, and we had a free dinner as a reward for being cooperative! Also we were given a nice room with mountain view for the remainder of our stay.

Hi Hènrik

Just to say what a wonderful holiday we had in Soller ! The hotel was superb despite a problem with the air con in Paul's room, the staff were amazing and so handy for the tram and train

We were wondering where else you may be able to suggest for a short break perhaps in September?

Many thank
