Overview
El Guía is a boutique hotel and restaurant located in the heart of the town of Sóller, next to the train station, and mere steps from the main square.
It is one of the oldest establishments in Mallorca (opened in 1880) and retains all the character and charm of the island’s most traditional architecture. Without large facilities, the hotel offers guests the chance to stay in an authentic Mallorcan hotel with exquisite attention to detail. A recent remodel and update has respected the essence of this historical establishment.
Some rooms provide breathtaking views of either the Serra de Tramuntana or the church’s large bell tower.
El Guía’s restaurant, Ca’s Pentinadó, is one of the oldest in Sóller and dates back to 1880. It has been recommended and acclaimed from generation to generation (grandparents, children and grandchildren). Ca’s Pentinador serves classic, simple cuisine based on local ingredients: fresh fish, paellas, typical Mallorcan dishes…all prepared using traditional techniques.
All of this comes together to make El Guía a quiet and extremely cozy place to stay, a charming little hotel with warm and friendly service guaranteed to make guests feel right at home.
The hotel is the perfect location for hikers – UNESCO named the stunning Sóller valley and its surroundings a World Heritage Site in 2011.

We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday in Soller. All in all a very positive experience and very relaxing.
We have visited many times before always staying at The Grand Hotel. The Hotel Guia was a great alternative and good value for money. I would rate all categories a 5 with the exception of food which would be a 4.
The transfers went smoothly.
We would recommend the hotel to friends.
We did spend the first night of our holiday in the neighbouring Casa Hinges as the hotel was over booked and they had to ask someone to move. It was nicely dealt with we were given a choice - not told we had to move. Casa Hinges was lovely - certainly no hardship, and we had a free dinner as a reward for being cooperative! Also we were given a nice room with mountain view for the remainder of our stay.

The hotel was in a perfect location with a lovely greeting of a glass of cava on arrival. The room was spacious with a view of the mountains.
We only ate breakfast hence the rate of 4.
I would definitely return.

Just to say what a wonderful holiday we had in Soller ! The hotel was superb despite a problem with the air con in Paul's room, the staff were amazing and so handy for the tram and train
