HOTELS

Thank you for your e-mail.

San Jordi Hotel was truly amazing, staff, service etc. We would certainly recommend it to our friends and it was lovely returning to Pollenca after such a long time away, it still has its own rustic charm.

Once again Henrik, many thanks for your recommendation, we wouldn’t hesitate to return in the future, maybe not me but my Granddaughter would certainly like to return.

Kind regards,

Overall we enjoyed our holiday.
The accommodation was adequate but not luxury.
We only sampled breakfast and no other meals.
Probably wouldn’t stay there again. Staff were friendly enough but more the fact that they had to be as a family business but that’s just our opinion.

Thank you for your email.

I am pleased to report that we had a lovely time at the San Jordi, which  more than met our expectations. We would unhesitatingly rate it as 5 in all the listed categories. We have already recommended it to a friend!

My summary would be as follows:

San Jordi is a lovely, family run hotel, set in the authentic and charming town of Pollensa. There is plenty for everyone, whether it be exploring the wide range of restaurants, bars and shops around the square or relaxing  by the pool in the tranquil garden for breakfast or again in the late afternoon. The owners and staff were friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome.

I hope this is helpful. On a personal note, Henrik, I would like to thank you for your help and support. The airport transfers worked very well even at the ungodly hour of 4am on the day of departure. If we return to Mallorca we would want to return to the San Jordi or possibly one of the other rural hotels you represent.

Yes we had a lovely time in Pollensa.  The hotel was so relaxed and friendly, as they say a home from home. Our room(24)  was dual-aspect, overlooking garden and the street, as well as having a fridge, hob, microwave, kettle etc. so we prepared our lunches there and ate in the evenings in some of the great restaurants in and around the main square just 6 mins away.

We love the Spanish life having lived in Logrono, La Rioja for a period of time in the 80s.  The hotel was clean, breakfasts were beautifully presented in the garden and we met some lovely people there too.  We slept so well and comfortably on the luxurious bed and the decor was a delight to behold.

Thank you so much for recommending us to San Sant Jordi, we would love to go again.

We found the hotel location perfect, the staff/owners were extremely friendly and helpful, and the quality of the food and service was excellent. We did find the 'superior' room a little disappointing in terms of size and for the price but we would nevertheless return to the hotel if we were in the area again and we would recommend the hotel to others.

Thanks

Dear Henrik

We had a lovely stay at Son Sant Jordi. It met fully our hopes and expectations.
In answer to your questions
We would give a rating of 5 all 5 categories.
We had a lovely quiet room overlooking the garden with views over the town to the mountains. The hotel is well furnished. There was a good choice for breakfast with eggs cooked by Anna .
The pool and garden were cleaned and tidied each morning with secluded seating.
The restaurant is very good but with rather higher prices than most others in Pollenca.

We will certainly recommend the hotel to friends.

The town location is excellent being a few minutes walk from the main town square but in a fairly quiet location. Streets are very narrow and parking is difficult although most days we found a space close to the hotel. The garden is secluded and quiet. The beaches and mountains are close by . Overall it’s an ideal place for a short relaxing holiday with attentive staff.

Many thanks for your help in booking our stay. We will be pleased to put our favourable feedback on TripAdvisor

Hi Henrik

Thank you for your recommendation & yes, we had a fabulous holiday.
Would rate Son Sant Jordi 5 in every category. We absolutely loved it.

The hotel is truly a home from home, totally unpretentious. The staff are all so very friendly, nothing is too much trouble, super selection for breakfast, lovely garden & pool. We will, without doubt be returning & would recommend to all our friends.

Good morning!

Had a great 2 centre holiday in palma and pollenca!

Son sant jordi was a very good position, an enjoyable stay at a quirky hotel!

We had rooms/suites 12 and 14, downside being that the rooms suffered from strong drainage smell, especially room 14 together with the entrance hallway .  We were overhearing other guests having this conversation with the owner. Probably wouldnt recommend to friends due to this.  Wouldn't stay there ourselves in the future.

Beds were v comfy, rooms and staff lovely, a great experience.

Kind regards

Hi Henrik,

We have just returned from Mallorca and wanted to thank you for your recommendations.  Both hotels  were excellent and were enjoyed by all members of the family (impressive given I had 14 year old twins with us!)

Many kind regards,

Hi Henrik

Thanks for your email, we are not long back from our trip and I am so pleased we booked our hotel with you! I was so impressed with the options you gave us so promptly and at such short notice.

The Son Sant Jordi was a beautiful oasis of calm and just what we needed after the disappointment of the boat. We arrived to a warm welcome - all the staff were all so friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were lovely; comfortable, clean, spacious and cool, with thoughtful extras. The garden and pool also surpassed expectations, great facilities - it's the small things like the water cooler that make so much difference and are really appreciated - and we loved having breakfast under the pergola. We ate in the restaurant twice and had superb meals both times. We would definitely return and have no hesitation recommending the hotel. Pollenca Old Town was a delight too and provided all the facilities and entertainment we needed during our stay.

Hi Henrik

Thanks for your email. We had a most enjoyable holiday thank you and we are very grateful for your input and used the website a lot for research prior to booking and departing.

Son Sant Jordi - Pollenca
This was a very large contrast to our first accommodation. Set right in the heart of the town in very narrow but picturesque streets. Other travellers commented on the difficulty of parking and driving in the general area which I would agree with, there are a lot of cars with scratches on the paint work! However the pleasure of being able to step out of the door and access a wide variety of restaurants, and activities is compensation enough. The hotel itself is very comfortable and well appointed. There are tasteful pieces of original artwork on display and the gardens surrounding the pool are delightful. Breakfast in the morning is served in the gardens and made me feel like I was in the second Marigold Hotel! The staff were very lovely and accommodating and again would highly recommend this hotel and area. The only niggle for me was the lack of a balcony or terrace as I’m not keen in sitting indoors. but it is an old building, not a modern Lego hotel. Pollenca  is very lovely and the market a delight. A drive out to Cap Formentor for an evening walk along the beach and watching the sunset from the hilltop viewpoint was a delight.

On the way back to the airport on our last day we detoured slightly to take in a trip to the Caves at Campanet which were very impressive. Sa Carrotja - Ses Salines

We loved this hotel, a little oasis of calm and comfort. Our room was beautifully quirky, with worn stone steps to the first floor, exposed beams, wooden shutters and cool tiled floors. The terrace was a joy to sit on in the relative cool of the mornings and evenings. The pool area was very comfortable, and gorgeous amongst the flowering shrubs and lemon trees. Breakfast was very nicely presented with a great choice of local produce. The bikes provided were a godsend, giving us a lovely means of transport into town in the evenings for delicious suppers at Bar Estarellas. When they were closed we were forced to use an alternative restaurant which was more expensive and not as much to our taste.
Ses Salines is rather curious place, seeming to be quite large but virtually deserted. The surrounding countryside has some nice places to visit though so I would recommend a car when at this hotel.

We would mark both hotels 5 in all categories, having no negative thoughts on either and being extremely happy in both.

Thank you again for your efficiency and promptness in dealing with everything I certainly will mention you on TripAdvisor and would have you as our go to, if we are lucky enough to return. The only suggestion I would make is for you to revisit some of your posts as the dates on some of them are quite old. It gives the impression that, rightly or wrongly that information may not be up-to-date.

Wishing you all the best

Kind regards

Yes, but would point out the problem with the management.

Would you like to write a couple of general sentences about your stay?
All was excellent apart from when the arrival taxi didn’t turn up and rather than apologise or take responsibility the manager said it was because we were in the wrong place. (We weren’t.) Then our toilet wouldn’t flush properly and again she said, ‘Well, it was working yesterday; you are flushing it wrong.’ In the end they sent a plumber. She needs to rethink her approach. That said, everything else was very nice! We got a Junior Suite instead of two of the rooms so we had a sitting room which with six of us was much appreciated. However the air con in my son’s room barely worked.

Hi Henrik
Re your questions;
Really enjoyed the holiday.
The hotel was lovely and it’s garden is absolutely wonderful, a real gem and so surprising to find in the centre of Pollensa.
Collection from the airport worked smoothly.
As you know this is a small hotel having some 20 rooms including the annex across the road, and so much better for it.
Staff were very pleasant and helpful.
We ate there twice and the food was excellent. The rest of the time we tried different restaurants in the area.
So on your scoring system I would give it 5 marks for each.
Would definitely return.
With regard to booking etc through yourself, very straightforward and you were very helpful when we had to change dates ….and when arranging the collection and pick up, so thank you very much…again a 5!
I would certainly use your services again and recommend you to others.
You’d even organised the warmest weather so far this year!!

Would you like to write a couple of general sentences about your stay?  Lovely centrally situated, tranquil garden and having breakfast in it was delightful. Perfect for 4 nights, but a week might be too long.  Ana was amazing, nothing too much trouble.

Morning Henrik,

We had a lovely break, thank you.

All the hotels were spot on - no reason not to give 5's all round. If we had a favourite, it would be Son San Jordi in Pollenca, just because the owners were so nice and it was a little bit quirky.

We only ate breakfast in the hotels, all very good. The general standard of dining on Mallorca was amazing - we tried everything from Michelin star restaurants to basic and all fabulous for what they were.

For a first visit, it was great to stay in the three different places to get a real feel for the island. Loved Palma, and Pollenca and Soller were stunning, as were the mountains - would love to go back and do some hiking some time.

Thanks for help recommending and booking. I'm sure we'll go back at some point.

All the best,

DP 06/22

Dear Henrik,

Thank you for organising everything to make our stay at the Son San Jordi so enjoyable. I would recommend the hotel to anyone wishing to stay in the centre of Pollenca, such a family atmosphere, nothing was too much trouble and the garden with a pool was a bonus.

Thank you again

Hi, I have fallen in love with Mallorca again. The hotel was lovely, staff friendly, and the accommodation was just perfect. The garden for breakfast, the amusement from the parrots and I swam in the pool in October all made a great holiday. The location couldn’t have been better so 5 stars for everything. Can’t wait to return.

Hi Henrik

We had a lovely few days at Son Sant Jordi.

Son Sant Jordi is a lovely family run hotel in the centre of Pollenca. The garden is gorgeous and an amazing green retreat from the buzz of the town but only a stones throw away from all of the restaurants, bars, shops and sights of Pollenca. The staff are brilliant and nothing too big a trouble – they sorted out car hire for us at very short notice along with taxi transfer from the airport to the hotel and, importantly, a high quality service for our return to the UK Covid tests. The prefect place to stay if you want to be in the heart if Pollenca but additionally have a place to simply chill out. And of course there are the parrots…Hola!”

We had a very good time. The hotel was ideal. Sleep quality 5, Value for money 4, Cleanliness 5, Service 5, Food. Breakfast 4 restaurant 5. The town was ideal for a short break and both interesting and restful with many good restaurants to choose from. The hotel pool and facilities were also perfect to sunbathe and read after a walk into the hills or around the town. Nice beaches near too. We would recommend the hotel. Thanks for your help. Hi Henrik, sorry for the delay in replying. Breakfast 5* but as the main restaurant (which is excellent) is not part of the hotel they may be confusing prospects by offering dinner. Service, Room cleanliness, Welcome and courtesy all 5*.

RP 07/19

Hi Henrik, Sorry for the delay in replying have been incredibly busy since returning from Mallorca. We would give a 5 in all your categories. Lovely hotel and our room was very nice, the family were very welcoming and couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable, particularly when I had money stolen in Pollenca! The hotel was in an excellent position in Pollenca in easy walking distance of the main square and the restaurants. We ate in the restaurant attached to the hotel the first night and it was very good fish of the day. After that we tried a  variety of restaurants in the town and they were all excellent. Driving in Pollenca old town where the hotel was situated is certainly not for the faint hearted. The very narrow streets were very testing as Hertz provided us with a very large 4x4 not the Polo size I booked, my fault I should have said. when we picked up at the airport I breathed a sigh of releive when we got it back to the airport without a scratch! Thanks again for recommending the excellent San Jordi. Best wishes

GG 10/18

Dear Henrik, Sure.  As ever we found the hotel charming and the hosts as welcoming as ever. The service is excellent. The food is very good. It is clean, good value for money, my husband has a few queries about the bed, which he found a bit hard but I had no problem and my son slept well in the second bedroom. This hotel is an oasis of peace and calm in the middle of wonderful Pollensa – our suite overlooked the garden, and there is no sound at night as you gaze at the stars over the nearby mountains. The breakfasts are brilliant – cannot be faulted – and you eat in the gardens (if you wish to do so, as we did). Slight problem with mosquitos – I am told they have travelled from Africa and the Mallorcans would like to send them back – particularly wet summer I believe has encouraged them! Lovely to meet everyone again and to be greeted so warmly as old friends. Do give them our very best regards. We will no doubt be speaking to you soon, and I should add we do appreciate your speed and helpfulness organising this trip, including car hire.

Dear Henrik, I’m sorry for the delay in replying- nearly ready for another holiday! We had a lovely relaxing time on Mallorca again, thank you for all your help and recommendations. We returned to the Son Sant Jordi for the second week- we really love this hotel and its lovely family owners and staff. Pollença is wonderful and I can see it becoming a favourite! I’d say: Service: 5, Food: 5, Cleanliness: 5, Value for money: 4, Sleep quality: 5. Would you recommend the hotel to a friend? Yes definitely. We stayed at Na Martina for the first week and loved the hotel’s setting. The owners and staff couldn’t have been more helpful and pleasant - really a lovely place to be. I’d say: Service: 5, Food: 5, Cleanliness: 5, Value for money: 4, Sleep quality: 3. Would you recommend the hotel to a friend? Yes definitely. I think it’s likely we’ll want to go to Mallorca again next year - maybe trying some self catering type options next time- so we’ll be in touch for your help! With thanks and very best wishes.

Hi Henrik, We had a wonderful stay at Son Sant Jordi! A delightful hotel with a real cared for feel with friendly and helpful staff who were on hand with advice for anything we tried to arrange. The room was very comfortable , comfortable beds, air conditioning, no unwanted noise. The garden was a gem too - really lovely and relaxing space where one could happily spend the day reading if you didn’t fancy going out. Whilst the pool is not big, it’s perfect for keeping cool and the adjacent area with fridge and drinks etc was much appreciated.  Also lovely to help oneself from the vast selection of food for breakfast and sit out in the garden to eat. Probably my only criticism being that the food was largely uncovered and so flies were enjoying feasting on the meats and cheeses which was offputting. And also the restaurant staff seemed very prompt in clearing everything away by 9.45 each morning - usually just as you were wanting another cup of coffee. We only ate one lunch in the hotel so can’t really judge their food - menu seemed a little more expensive than some places in the square. It was more appealing to wander a couple of minutes along the street in to the square which was lovely and lively with a good selection of restaurants. We loved the town - very peaceful. Very glad to have chosen there and we would definitely return. Service 5, Food 3, Cleanliness 5, Value for money 5, Sleep quality 5. Many thanks and we hope to return - either to Majorca or Menorca. Best wishes

Hi Henrik, We would recommend Son Sant Jordi to friends. Our rating is as follows: Food - Definitely a 5. The breakfasts were excellent. We aren't cooked breakfast couple but there was so much variety. All types of lovely fresh bread, pastries, plenty of fruit, cold meats etc if you wanted them.  Also we ate at the restaurant 2 evenings and the food was very good. Cleanliness - 5. Value for money - 5. Sleep quality - 5 as the bed was so comfortable. Service - only giving a 4 here as we couldn't get into the room we booked until the afternoon of the second day of our stay so couldn't relax and start enjoying the holiday until then. However all the staff were really lovely and friendly. The garden and pool were lovely. The pool is small and if everyone stayed around it wouldn't work but didn't create a problem whilst we were there. Location in relation to village centre excellent. We will certainly keep you in mind if booking elsewhere.

Hi Henrik, We had an amazing stay at the son sant jordi hotel, service was wonderful staff were extremely polite and accomodafing and considering it was in the school summer holidays the hotel was tranquil and relaxing. The rooms were perfect and breakfast was more than substantial with lots of choice. I have already recommended the hotel to family and friends who are looking at going very soon. We will be in touch again as we often visit Mallorca. Regards

Dear Henrik, We had a wonderful trip and the hotel was perfect! A 5 for all the categories. The garden was beautiful and a hidden oasis in the middle of Pollenca. A delightful place to have breakfast under the lemon trees and then later in the day a tranquil spot for a swim and siesta. The parrots provided great entertainment and all the staff were friendly and helpful. It was lovely to stay in a small family run hotel with such a relaxing atmosphere. I would certainly recommend the hotel to friends and family. Kind regards

AS 08/17

Dear Henrik, We had a really lovely holiday thank you.  The Hotel kindly upgraded us to an apartment with a beautiful terrace so we could sit and drink wine  in the evening overlooking Pollensa.  I would most definitely recommend to a friend. The family and staff are just so friendly and it was exactly the kind of personal service that  we were looking for.  The atmosphere is relaxed and no one pressures you for anything. I have completed as requested and please do not take some of my points as criticism they are merely observations. Service: Excellent service from all staff.  Receptionist was very pleasant, helpful and polite and the lady who managed the breakfast in the morning was always cheerful and very helpful.   The hotel staff have Mondays as their day off  so if you arrive on a Monday like we did there is no bar open or anyone around to help out.  They do provide tea/coffee in the pool bar and an honesty box for drinks but there was minimal drinks in the fridge given the number of guests around. Food: Basic continental breakfast with scrambled egg as the hot option.  Plentiful  fresh fruit, yoghurt  and breads and home made jams.  Absolutely fine for what we wanted.  Excellent coffee machine. Cleanliness: excellent, Value for money: We were upgraded to a suite with a terrace so we thought it was excellent value for money.  The only thing I would say for anyone thinking of using the Suite/apartments is that they are up the street only a little way and ours was on the top floor so three flights of stairs with a heavy suitcase and no lift and  no help available from the hotel was a challenge.  We managed but an elderly couple may not so you may want to keep this in mind to avoid any complaints.  We are not complaining at all merely observing. Sleep quality: Huge comfortable bed and so quiet even though we were in the middle of town! Very many thanks for all your help. Best wishes

Hello Henrik, We really enjoyed our time in Mallorca. Both hotels, although being different, were good. At Son St Jordi we were upgraded to a townhouse which was really great. An initial problem with the plumbing in our apartment at Son Siurana was efficiently dealt with. Staff at both hotels were most pleasant and helpful. Food was good with I think Son Siurana being slightly better. We only ate breakfast at St Jordi so cannot comment on the restaurant. We would rate both places at 4 in the categories you mention except sleep quality at St Jordi a 3 and probably value for money a 3-4 at both. Regards

Hi Henrik, We had a lovely weeks holiday in Mallorca, here is our feedback for the two hotels… Son Sant Jordi: Service 5, Food 5, Cleanliness 4, Value for money  4, Sleep quality  3. Recommend to friends…YES Son Sant Jordi is a beautiful hotel in a great location in Pollenca Town, 5 minutes walk to all the bars and restaurants but sometimes noisy with traffic and people in the evenings on the street outside our room, had to sleep with all the windows fully closed. Friendly helpful staff and lovely garden and pool area. We thought our room was really quaint but could have done with some upgrading i.e. tea making facilities and possibly complimentary drinking water, also we had no coat hangers and the air conditioning was noisy and leaked. Other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Palau Sa Font: Service  5, Food  4, Cleanliness  5, Value for money  4, Sleep quality  5. Recommend to friends…YES. Palau Sa Font is a lovely hotel in a brilliant location in Palma Town very close to all bars and restaurants. The staff were very friendly and helpful, nice plunge pool and roof terrace, very quiet in the evenings and a lovely big double bed. The breakfast was excellent quality but a little bit lacking on choice. Quirky arty hotel with relaxed chilled atmosphere, thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Best Wishes,

Hi Henrik, We've had a lovely holiday thank you. After a wobbly start on arrival, the transfer hadn't turned up, ( thank you for your help with that one) things got a lot better. Service 3, Food 4, Cleanliness 5 (apart from a towel that was under our bed when we arrived and was still there a week later when we left, Value for money 3, Sleep quality. 5 We would recommend the hotel but only to friends who like a laid back relaxed hotel. The garden and pool were the best thing about the hotel. The noisy parrot and barking dog were interesting but made it difficult to relax at times. Lovely to have breakfast in the garden, pool and the sun beds etc were all great and well maintained.  We would have expected toiletries to be replaced after the first day along with cups and drinks in our room, we found this frustrating.  Staff were all friendly and we loved the town. Thank you for all your help.

Good afternoon Henrik, Thank you for your email. We had a fantastic time thank you, really great! The Hotel where we stayed was really clean and tidy, we slept really well and we were very comfortable, all these would receive a 5 out of 5. The staff were all really friendly, another 5 for sure. I would recommend the hotel to friends, breakfast was fantastic, lots of fresh fruit, cold meats and cheeses, really good. The outside area was perfect, really quiet, comfortable seating and loungers and a lovely clean pool. The whole experience was superb, the only thing that we were not overly impressed with was the evening meal in the hotel, the service was great, staff friendly but the food let it down, mind you, we only ate there the once so we could have been unlucky. We will be sure to return. Whilst commenting on positive service, the service we received from yourself was second to none and we have already recommended you to friends and family :) Kind regards

Hi Henrik, The hotel was excellent. Very quiet, helpful staff, very clean and excellent beds. I would not hesitate recommending it to anyone. Best suited for couples. Kindest regards

Hi Henrik, I am happy to say that Hotel Son Sant Jordi lived up to my expectations during my first holiday in Mallorca. I had absolute minimal Spanish but the staff were always courteous and helpful. Ana runs an efficient and delightful hotel service! My ratings on my stay are as follows - Service: 5, Food 4, Cleanliness: 5, Value for money: 4, Sleep Quality: 3. The ratings I have given below 5 are solely due to my own personal preferences and do not reflect on any deficiency by the hotel. With warm regards,

Dear Henrik, As last year ,we had a great holiday at this hotel. The service, food, cleanliness, value for money and sleep quality were excellent, as in 2016. This is a very friendly family hotel, quiet but centrally located. They could not be more helpful. We would recommend it to a friend/family. We would only mention that there was a little confusion somewhere along the line about the house in which we stayed last year – Carrer d’Abulqassim Al Bullansi – and we were shown one in another street. We were also offered a new apartment which was recently converted, and another also in the same ‘block’ as the hotel. They put us into two rooms with bathroom and sitting room off the main staircase, one bedroom overlooking the garden and the other the road (Carrer de Sant Jordi). This was a lovely suite and we much enjoyed staying there, so there was no problem. Because of the slight confusion they very kindly offered us a complimentary meal in the hotel. We really like this hotel, and Pollensa, and look forward to coming again soon. Please give them our best regards.

Hi Henrik, We had a really wonderful stay at the hotel and are pleased to send feedback. We only took breakfast at the hotel and found it slightly lacking in variety if we are honest ... The room, service, position of the hotel, the outside space and garden were really excellent as was the friendliness of the entire staff ...ensuring that our stay was memorable. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to a friend and I suspect we shall be in touch again to return . Thank you again for your help. Service 5, Food 3, Cleanliness 5, Value 5, Sleep quality 5. Kind regards

Hi Henrik, We had the most wonderful holiday. Visiting the Mountains in Mallorca in the spring is delightful, especially the wonderful aromas of orange blossom & jasmine. Thank you so much for all your help & recommendations. We loved the way all the Hotels had honest bars so we could just go to the fridge & grab a cold beer. We absolutely adored Hotel Nord & Son Sant Jordi. I'm sad to say Can Reus was incredibly disappointing.  Hotel Nord & Son Sant Jordi straight 5's. For Hotel Nord we booked a room with roof terrace & it was spacious, comfortable & everything we wanted. The staff on the desk were exceptionally pleasant & the village itself was small & compact. We were able to walk to a small cove from the Hotel & we had 2 lovely meals in the village including a whole baked squid. Perfect. Son Sant Jordi - We  were upgraded & had a junior suite in a separate building with a roof terrace & square bath in the room. Again perfect with lovely hosts, fabulous breakfasts & Pollenca itself was buzzing with busy bars & cafes. And many cyclists! Breakfast was fabulous.  Can Reus - so disappointing. We were in the most beautiful village in Spain & had a room with village views. Well I'm going to attach pictures of the village view in a separate email. Henrik in future please advise all your customers not to have the basement room, which is like a cell, or the village view rooms. If only we'd known we would have spent more money on a mountain view room & then our review would be so different. Our room was  so gloomy I didn't actually want to stay the 2 nights. And then there was no hot water for 24 hours & no apology or explanation. If I'd been the owner I definitely would have apologised & reduced the bill by 10% as a token gesture. On the bright side the garden was lovely & Fornalux is fabulous. We did a lovely circular walk into Soller & had 2 lovely meals in a local restaurant. I'm not one to complain normally but you will see what I mean when I show you photos.  Despite Can Reus we had a fantastic time.  I would recommend this part of Mallorca everyone. Also, we had gorgeous weather so ate outside most of the time. Fantastic mussels  & John Dory in Port Pollensa & fabulous seafood paella in small port near Soller - despite hairpin bends. Also, I would recommend spending a little extra for an automatic car - great on the mountainous roads behind the cyclists.  Thanks again

Hello Henrik, We had a wonderful week although the weather was a little unreliable with a couple of downpours but that was just our bad luck! The first hotel, Son Ametler (hope I have remembered the name correctly) was wonderful. A 5 across the board for food, service, cleanliness etc. We had a very relaxing few days there. The second hotel, Son Sant Jordi was also wonderful. It is rather harder to comment on the food as we didn't really eat here. I would say the breakfast was not quite as good as the previous hotel but very clean, comfortable and very well situated for exploring Pollenca. It was a little cheaper so probably not completely fair to compare. We will remember that you offer accommodation in Menorca as we are interested in visiting there as well. Regards,

Hi Henrik, Thanks for email. We had a great time and loved exploring the island. Both hotels were great and served their purpose for jumping off points and relaxing. Will defiantly be recommending your company and the hotels to others.

Dear Henrik We had a wonderful holiday at the Son Sant Jordi hotel.  I would give service, food, cleanliness, value for money and sleep quality 5 out of five!  All the staff in the hotel were most helpful and the rooms were kept very clean.  The garden and swimming pool area are so peaceful and there is everything you need with sunbeds, towels, cushions drinks etc.  The restaurant attached to the hotel is very good and the staff there were so helpful when we had lunch beside the pool or if we ate with them in the evening.  The hotel was so well placed with all the lovely squares in the town of Old Pollenca within walking distance.  I was worried that we might have heard the traffic noise but it was quiet by night and day. I would certainly recommend this hotel to a friend and we would love to go back again for a short stay next year. Kind regards

Dear Henrik, Thank you for your e-mail. We had a lovely time in Pollenca and loved the hotel. I would rate it as following: Service 5, Food 5 (but we only had one supper and two breakfasts-the breakfast in particular was great), Cleanliness 4, Value for money 4, Sleep quality 4. I would definetely recommend it to a friend. We especially loved the garden and the swimming pool and the boys had a great time in the pool which they often had to themselves. We did have a few problems with the cooker as the oven didn't work and then the hob was very erratic but the hotel was very good at sorting it out and gave us a free breakfast when we couldn't cook and then a work top oven to use, and brought round a bottle of wine and snacks after we had a problem with it, so they did their best to resolve it and the apartment was lovely and in a great position. Overall we loved Mallorca and it was great to stay in Pollenca which was lovely and quiet and such a beautiful place-we're really missing it! We'd love to go back to Mallorca again and will let you know if we need help finding somewhere nice to stay! Thank you for all your help

Dear Henrik, responding to your survey e-mail of 12 September. Please excuse my tardiness in replying to your e-mail concerning the two hotels where  you had reserved rooms for us in Mallorca. We found both hotels most interesting as buildings. The first one, Son Sant Jordi is near the centre of Polenca so is excellent for walking. It is also excellent as a centre for driving around the completely new area of North and West Mallorca. Parking was a bit of a problem, we parked in a public (free) car park a few streets away from the hotel. However we had been told that a parking space would be available at the hotel but never manifested itself. The stay at S S J was most enjoyable, very genial staff, comfortable room overlooking the beautiful garden, and it was clean and well appointed with towels etc.We ate dinner on two nights at the hotel;  the first night was a beautiful meal, though service dragged out somewhat. The second meal was a paella, for which we waited ages and were not served until gone 9.0 pm. Not a good night's sleep that night! The one complaint we have is that of the family dog did foul on the grass in the garden on occasions and the evidence was not always removed either!  Doggy did turn up in the room where breakfast was served on one occasion - he was removed quickly! Dalt Murada: Another interesting hotel, this time along a very narrow street behind the Cathedral. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Our superior suite of room was interesting too; we had a lounge with an incredibly high ceiling and two enormous sofas. The rooms were clean with plenty of towels etc. Breakfasts were served on the lovely shaded garden, delicious cakes and breads. A really good experience.

Hi Henrik,  Holiday was wonderful and we'll certainly use you again for future holidays - thank you very much!! Both hotels were loveley (Son Sant Jordi SSJ and Torrent Fals TF) How would you rate the following from 1-5 where 5 is the best rating: SSJ - junior suite was lovely and spacious, loved the peaceful gardens for sunbathing, hotel is a good base for exploring the NE part of island. A little expensive for what it is... Breakfast was basic and air con did not work in our room so used the fan which was ok but did affect sleep a bit - not a major issue but for the price perhaps these things should be a tad better?  TF - incredible setting, so peaceful and unique. Loved the family feel. Food was lovely, really good quality - the wine too. Pool area very nice too. Very happy to have stayed there and wish we'd stayed even longer! Good base for exploring too! Service:  SSJ = 3 TF = 3.5, Food: SSJ = 3 TF = 5, Cleanliness: SSJ = 4.5 TF = 5, Value for money: SSJ = 3 TF = 4, Sleep quality: SSJ = 3 TF = 5 Would you recommend the hotel to a friend?  Yes and yes

SM 08/16

We enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend highly. For future improvements though I felt for a 4 star hotel we felt it lacked a certain attention to detail. The following issues were not major but following our hotel in Palma at the Posada Terra Santa they were noticeable. They are as follows-no toiletries or face flannel.  There was some shower gel/shampoo wall mounted. There was a short supply of toilet paper for 4 people . We had to buy some on one occasion as rooms are not cleaned everyday. Coffee not replenished in room and no glasses for cava or wine. I felt there should have been twin beds in adjacent room as my sons were 18 and 16 whereas the beds were really for much younger children and not comfortable.  We loved the garden and pool and staff very helpful and friendly. Liked the hotel dog very much and the parrot. Service 5, Food 5, Cleanliness 4, Value for money 4, Sleep quality 4

We have already recommended the hotel to some friends. We had a lovely, restful stay in a beautiful hotel with lovely staff and excellent, discreet service. Would highly recommend. How would you rate the following from 1-5 where 5 is the best rating: Service: 5, Food: 4, Cleanliness: 5, Value for money: 5, Sleep quality: 5

We had a really terrific stay at the Son Sant Jordi. It is a charming family run hotel. The service, in both the hotel and the restaurant, was first class. Everything was very clean with good facilities. The breakfasts were superb and eating them in the garden was very special. We got fantastic value for money and would have done even better if we had known there was a discount for cash! We slept really well and although our room overlooked the street we were not conscious of traffic noise. We will certainly consider a return visit and unconditional recommend it to our friends and family. Thank you for your help in arranging this holiday for us and we will be pleased to book with you in future. Regards

Hello Henrik, Yes, we had a very good stay at both hotels, thank you. As to Son Sant Jordi: Service- good . Family very helpful and welcoming. Food- we only had breakfast which was OK. Cleanliness- good. Value for money- yes subject to what I say below. Sleep quality- excellent, really quiet. The hotel itself is charming as are the hosts. It was unfortunate that the builders had not finished the new wellness area so that we had to share the garden with them and were unable to use that area. Our tariff included a free dinner which we did not get. We had forgotten and it was not offers. Taking all that into account I think a gesture such as discounting the cost by 40 euros would have been appropriate. The second hotel, Convent de la Missio: Service- excellent, Food- at Simply Fosh exquisite! Cleanliness- good, Value for money- yes, Sleep quality- very quiet and excellent. This was a first class experience though in a different price range.  I would be happy to recommend both hotels to friends and will do so. Regards,

Hi Henrik, Just back from our stay at Son Sant Jordi and what a wonderful place it is. Ana and Gemma were such lovely people, so friendly and made us extremely welcome. The little puppy was an absolute bonus and could quite easily have found its way back to England in my suitcase. The food, as in breakfast was lovely. Such an amazing choice and beautifully presented. Our rooms were spacious, well furnished with some lovely antique pieces, and beds were very comfortable. Very, very clean. It was a little noisy when the sun rose and the street cleaners came out at 6am but that is only to be expected in a town with narrow cobbled streets. A plus side is that Pollenca has to be one of the best kept places on the island of Mallorca. On a positive note we hope to visit again with my brother and sister in law who are very keen cyclists. I must keep the final accolade for you Henrik - I would recommend you and your company to anyone, and in fact already have. We want to book something a little later in the year but things are up in the air again as when we arrived back in England my Father became seriously ill and went straight to hospital. Things are not too promising at present. Kind regards

Dear Henrik, I will be delighted to write a few words about the two hotels, Son Sant Jordi and Can Reus. Son Sant Jordi:It is rare to find today a hotel where guests are treated with such warmth and courtesy. This hotel is family owned. We enjoyed the superior room in the main building and the easy walking distance to the lovely old city centre. Can Reus: If you look for a romantic setting, dont look further. Good breakfast. Bit tricky parking to off load luggage due to very narrow historic street. Service. 3, Value money 4, Sleep quality. 4, Cleaniness. 4, Food breakfast only. 4

Dear Henrik, We had a wonderful holiday in Mallorca and were delighted with our choice of venue. We will certainly go back! Son Sant Jordi was a lovely hotel and certainly lived up to your summary. It has a great position in the town and the staff are without doubt the greatest asset of the hotel, they are warm, welcoming and really couldn't do enough to make you feel at home in their beautiful little hotel. Service - 5 Food - 5 (we ate there two nights and food was very good, breakfast was lovely and beautifully presented. We liked the buffet style and the freedom to have breakfast in the garden. Cleanliness - 5 Value for Money - 5 (it was an excellent deal with transfer and one dinner included) Sleep quality - 4 (the only little hiccup, beautiful four poster bed but it was two single divans pushed together. would have been more comfortable if it had been a double divan.) Son Sant Jordi is a little jewel in pollenca town! We would certainly recommend the hotel to a friend. We also felt your service was prompt with good advice and information on bike hire etc. We would certainly look to book through you again. Many thanks again

Hi Henrik, We had a lovely stay thank you. Most of us live in Mallorca and know Pollensa well but none of us had ever stayed there.  We were made very welcome by the owners of Son Sant Jordi and the location was absolutely perfect. Hotel Son Sant Jordi is a beautiful traditional small Mallorcan hotel in a great location for walking to other parts of the town.  The garden, pool area and casita are a quiet haven at the end of a hot and busy day.  The large are traditionally furnished and comfortable and the bathrooms are large and quirky. The continental breakfast is delicious and very informal.  The hotel is family owned and run and its owners make you very welcome, nothing seems to be too much trouble.  If you want a real taste of Mallorca – this is it. I have answered below:- Service: 5 Food: 5 – We only took breakfast Cleanliness: 5 Value for money: 5 Sleep quality: 4 – There is a bit of noise from the street as it was so hot we had to sleep with windows open I would certainly recommend the hotel to a friend and it is likely we will return for another overnight visit to enjoy more of the great restaurants in town. Hope that’s OK Henrik? Kinds regards

Dear Henrik, Overall, I was very happy with the two hotels and service and I will recommend it. Son Sant Jordi: Service: 2 Food: 5 Cleanliness: 3 Value for money: 3 Sleep quality: 2 Son Sant Jordi was perfectly located for our needs and we did enjoy the garden and the swimming pool. The bedroom was large and nice but we had a real issue with the air com which was simply not working properly and it seemed to be set at 21 degrees at the lowest in order to save energy. It also switched off in the middle of the night. I reported it and I personally felt that Anna was a little bit on the defensive side and tried to tell me that I was wrong. They made us feel that asking something is a little bit too much for them. Maybe it is a language barrier. So I wasn't perfectly happy with the service there to be honest. I slept very badly for 2 days too because of being so hot. Apart of this, the service was just about ok - They were not really around to check if we need anything. The food in la Placeta was excellent and the staff was really nice and welcoming. We loved it. The breakfast was good too. Hotel Es Figueral: Service: 5 Food: 4 Cleanliness: 5 Value for money: 5 Sleep quality: 5 We loved it. Despite the barrier language, they were so welcoming and friendly. They made you feel at home. They changed our bedroom as it seems they needed too but it works fine. The place is a little paradise and everything was just wonderful. We will definitely recommend it. I hope my feedbacks help. I am very pleased to have find your service. Overall, It was great. Thank you.

Hi Henrik, We had a lovely stay in the hotel. Everything you have listed here for comments were excellent-plus very friendly staff. We would thoroughly recommend the hotel and would very happily revisit. It had charm and character in the bedrooms that sadly are missed in so many in Spain! Kind regards,

Dear Henrik, Yes excellent holiday at the Sant Jordi. 1.Service. 5. 2.Food. 5. Evening meals superb quality, but a little on the expensive side, so you wouldn’t eat there every night, obviously depending on your budget. 3.Cleanliness. 5. 4.Value for money. 4. A little on the expensive side for a small hotel with not a lot of amenities. 5.Sleep quality . 2. The only problem. Air conditioning we could not make work properly and so had to have the windows open at night and  therefore suffered the noise from the street below and from the restaurant at closing up time. The hotel was in a lovely spot in Pollenca, which itself was a great place to spend a holiday. Yes I would recommend it. The staff were very helpful and courteous and nothing was too much trouble for them. Ana was a charming host. Many Thanks

Hi Henrik, This is just to say that my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Mallorca and very much approved of the hotels that you selected for us. Thank you for making this a successful trip Best wishes

Henrik, Many thanks for helping us with our recent holiday in Mallorca - your two centre suggestion was a great success as we could explore both the north and the south more leisurely. The Son Sant Jordi in Pollenca is beautifully located in a quiet square a few minutes walk from the centre and we enjoyed a pleasant stroll after eating at either one of the restaurants in Pollenca or in the hotel. The restaurant staff were an absolute delight and Ana most helpful. The courtyard garden is a most relaxing haven and the choice at breakfast was stunning!! The Son Cosmet is one of the most beautiful hotels we have ever stayed in and its location is one of great peace and serenity. Appolonia is a real treasure and the Veal evening meal we had on two occasions was out of this world!! Both hotels are worthy of 5 stars and we would recommend them both to friends and family. Once again thank you for helping us organise our holiday and we wish you every success with your agency. We may look at Tuscany next year.

Hello Henrik , we had a wonderful holiday. The hotel at Fornalutz was excellent in every way, comfortable ,clean ,superb breakfast served beautifully and the manager and staff were very helpful and made us feel most welcome and special. We would love to go back and would recommend it gladly.Listening to the sheep bells in the garden was delightful. Our stay at the Son sAnt jOrdi got off to a bad start because the bed in the annex was not at all comfortable and the noise from a fridge downstairs and from the street was very disturbing at night. however after we expressed our disappointment anddissatisfaction the owner and his family were most gracious and moved us to a beautiful superbly comfortable room where we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.we would love to return and would gladly recommend the hotel. Thank you so much for arranging these lovely locations for our stay  .Both were excellent. Kind regards

Dear Henrik. We had a super time! rrived at Son St Jordi, all again was as enjoyable as Can Cera, only it was more family run which very much relaxing. The gardens late afternoon  was a joy to relax in. We didn't eat in the restaurant , however breakfast was inclueded in the price and very enjoyable start to a day. Both hotels had good service good beds to sleep in and a warm friendly feel. Thank you  Service:  = 4 Food: 4 Cleanliness: 4 Value for money:4 Sleep quality: 4 Value for money = 5

Hi Henrik, I am so sorry for not writing to you sooner as to our lovely holiday in Majorca at the son Sant Jordi Hotel. All in all it was a lovely experience. It is a beautiful part of the island. As to the hotel, the service was great, we felt we were looked after but they also got the balance right about leaving us alone as well. It was very clean. The breakfast was varied and very nice, we ate in the restaurant once which was excellent. The only thing that wasn`t great was that the air conditioning didn`t work and they didn`t quite get it together to correct it. We never really got to the bottom of it, therefore I had to open the shutters and then would be woken up by very loud card and vespas` coming home late. So I didn`t sleep terribly well all week. Apart from that everything else was great. We would recommend it to a friend but just point out that it can be a bit noisy because of its location. We will be in touch again to get you to help with another Mallorcan holiday. Many many thanks,

Hi Henrik, We had a wonderful holiday in Mallorca – thank you for providing such useful advice The first hotel Casal Santa Eulalia Service: 5 Food: 4.5 Cleanliness: 5 Value for money: 4.5 Sleep quality: 4.5 Wonderful hotel with beautiful grounds and swimming pools. Extremely luxurious room (we upgraded to a larger suite with a huge terrace). The room was cleaned every day and had little extras like fruit, biscuits, moisturisers etc. The staff were wonderful and extremely friendly especially with the children. We spent a lot of time at the pool which was super clean, large and very quiet. The tapas bar next to the pool was excellent too. The only small improvement would have been that the room was so big that the air conditioning did not quite cool the room enough. We loved it and would definitely return The next hotel Son Sant Jordi Service: 3Food: 3 Cleanliness: 3 Value for money: 3 Sleep quality: 4 Great location and really lovely people that owned the hotel. Our room was at the top of the annex and was quite big but with low ceilings. The air-conditioning in our room was great and kept us very cool. The service was excellent when the family were there but there were big chunks of the day when the family was not around so we could not get drinks or food. Also the room was not cleaned each day or clean towels provided. I think it is more like an apartment than a hotel – so quite expensive given that. However it was a lovely place to stay and as I said, the service was excellent most of the time Hope that is helpful Best regards

Dear Henrik, we had a wonderful stay at Hotel Son Sant Jordi. See grades below. How would you rate the following from 1-5 where 5 is the best rating: Service: 5 Food: 4 Cleanliness: 4 Value for money: 4 Sleep quality: 4 Would you recommend the hotel to a friend? Yes, I lready have.Would you like to write a couple of general sentences about your stay? Hotel Son Sant Jordi is the perfect holiday retreat. We stayed 8 nights with two teenage daughters. Wonderful family oriented business with good service. Not too big or crowded. Beautiful, beautiful garden with swimming pool and quiet, relaxing atmosphere. Best place after a day on the beach. Walking distance to the POllenca restaurants. Son Sant Jordi also have a nice restaurant. We enjoyed two dinners with live Saxophone music. Breakfast is of a tasty brunch. We will consider going back.
