HOTELS

We had a lovely holiday in Majorca and the hotel Nord was lovely too.

I would rate all the services at the hotel at a 5. Antonia, her team and yourself are all doing a great job.

The hotel was immaculate and the breakfasts were lovely.

We would definitely recommend your company and the hotel to our family and friends.

Majorca is a beautiful island and we will definitely be coming back here again.

Many thanks again for everything. I'm just chasing up my car deposit, which I haven't received yet.

Hi,
We love everything about Can Canals - the food, the service, the room, the location. Couldn't fault it!
Similarly Hotel Nord - great hotel in a lovely location, excellent breakfast, clean, lovely room, friendly staff.
Would highly recommend both. It was nice that they were quite different to each other but both lovely in their own way.

Thanks,

We loved Hotel Nord.
Great breakfasts.
Still a few restaurants open - all good.
Yes, we'd recommend the hotel to a friend.
Thank you.

Henrik Hi

Just wanted to let you know that we had a great holiday in Mallorca and are very appreciative of your excellent advice and suggestions. The four locations were a very good combination and all the hotels very good - Cas Sant a real gem. We also found your notes very helpful, and had no problems getting around with taxis and public transport. In addition the weather was near perfect!

Thank you

Hi Henrik! We spent a very relaxed week at this little hotel in the beautiful and quiet Estellences. The hotel was spotless. The breakfasts were fresh and tasty each morning, with plenty of choice. The friendliness of the staff was second to none. The beds were comfortable and the area was quite and sleeping wasn’t a problem. The air conditioners were effective and needed. The hotel is a little from the clear waters of the cove, about a km away. There is a little cafe at the cove for light refreshments and food. It is rocky at the cove and wouldn’t suit everyone. The challenge is the return hike back up. If you don’t mind that...all will be well! We did it 5 days out of 7 and there was plenty to see when you had little rest breaks.  I have no hesitation recommending this little gem. In a quiet location ideal for chilling.

Hi Henrik, glad to help now that we are back home, responded are below: How would you rate the following from 1-5 where 5 is the best rating: Service: 5 - everyone was very friendly and helpful. Food: sadly we didn't  have dinner at the hotel but breakfasts were very plentiful, especiaĺy the wonderful fresh orange juice! Cleanliness: 5 - the hotel and our room were kept very clean. Value for money: 3 - overall it seemed expensive as there were no facilities such as a pool or Sun terrace. Sleep quality: 4 - the bed was superb (new apparently) but the hotel was noisy, lots of slamming doors, very thin room doors so you could hear people moving around and no proper view from the windows. Would you recommend the hotel to a friend? Probably but would have to advise them of the issues stated above.

Hi Henrik, Hotel Nord was fantastic & our favourite hotel of our trip. We would score it 5/5. The owner & staff were so friendly, helpful & welcoming. Marie the cook made wonderful scrambled eggs each morning. & the staff gave good advise on where to go for the day or to get a lovely evening meal. Our room was beautiful & the bed so comfortable. The house is wonderful with such age & character but decorated so stylishly. The interior or exterior areas to sit & have a drink & relax are lovely & to have the house left to the guests each night is a privilege. The place is so quiet & comfortable & you can hear al the sounds of the village & the braying donkey each morning. The walk to the rocky  beach is approximately 20 minutes away & worth seeing. We got a rough sea one day & calm the next so we had a swim & then a drink at the beach cafe. It's a tough walk back, all uphill & hot but nice walking past the lovely villas & olive groves & goats with their bells jingling as they graze in the shade. All in all a wonderful stop in our trip & we would definitely return or recommend.  Henrik-Thank you for your wonderful service and advise.

Hi Henrik, We had the most wonderful holiday. Visiting the Mountains in Mallorca in the spring is delightful, especially the wonderful aromas of orange blossom & jasmine. Thank you so much for all your help & recommendations. We loved the way all the Hotels had honest bars so we could just go to the fridge & grab a cold beer. We absolutely adored Hotel Nord & Son Sant Jordi. I'm sad to say Can Reus was incredibly disappointing.  Hotel Nord & Son Sant Jordi straight 5's. For Hotel Nord we booked a room with roof terrace & it was spacious, comfortable & everything we wanted. The staff on the desk were exceptionally pleasant & the village itself was small & compact. We were able to walk to a small cove from the Hotel & we had 2 lovely meals in the village including a whole baked squid. Perfect. Son Sant Jordi - We  were upgraded & had a junior suite in a separate building with a roof terrace & square bath in the room. Again perfect with lovely hosts, fabulous breakfasts & Pollenca itself was buzzing with busy bars & cafes. And many cyclists! Breakfast was fabulous.  Can Reus - so disappointing. We were in the most beautiful village in Spain & had a room with village views. Well I'm going to attach pictures of the village view in a separate email. Henrik in future please advise all your customers not to have the basement room, which is like a cell, or the village view rooms. If only we'd known we would have spent more money on a mountain view room & then our review would be so different. Our room was  so gloomy I didn't actually want to stay the 2 nights. And then there was no hot water for 24 hours & no apology or explanation. If I'd been the owner I definitely would have apologised & reduced the bill by 10% as a token gesture. On the bright side the garden was lovely & Fornalux is fabulous. We did a lovely circular walk into Soller & had 2 lovely meals in a local restaurant. I'm not one to complain normally but you will see what I mean when I show you photos.  Despite Can Reus we had a fantastic time.  I would recommend this part of Mallorca everyone. Also, we had gorgeous weather so ate outside most of the time. Fantastic mussels  & John Dory in Port Pollensa & fabulous seafood paella in small port near Soller - despite hairpin bends. Also, I would recommend spending a little extra for an automatic car - great on the mountainous roads behind the cyclists.  Thanks again

Dear Henrik, The holiday was great. Both hotels were good choices and, as you advised, in different ways. Your information was really helpful so we knew what to expect.  I rate each below.  Service: 5 Food: 5 Cleanliness: 5 Value for money: 4 Sleep quality:4   Would you recommend the hotel to a friend? Yes Would you like to write a couple of general sentences about your stay? Both hotels had lovely staff. They were helpful but not intrusive.  Both hotels recognised that most guest wanted a quiet time and ensured this. The lack of a car was no problem. More detailed information on the local walking would be helpful or an alert that it is best to bring your own. I hope this helps. I am learning Italian so am definitely interested in any quiet corners of Tuscany that you may know. Kind regards

Dear Henrik, Would love to oblige. Service was charming, food was very pleasant, hotel was spotless, it was absolutely fine on value for money - two singletons in two separate rooms is always an expensive way to travel it would be good as a couple, slept like a log despite the youngsters that a previous reviewer commented on; so 4.5 all round. The absolute selling point is the location. Thought I was going to dread doing the journey several times a day when I first drove up there but it was PERFECT. Looked out of my balcony at the farmer feeding his donkey, wandered through the little cobbled streets to the restaurants, views to die for. Spitting distance, as the crow flies - a rather lengthy meander up and down mountain passes in a car, to the most beautiful villages. Learnt to love the drive. Would HIGHLY  recommend the hotel to other travellers. Regards

Hello, Henrik, I meant to email when I got back to say what a lovely time we had at Hotel Nord. We got an 'upgrade' to a firstfloor room with a terrace, and our (delicious) meal was served there when we arrived. Our room and terrace were attractively furnished, comfortable and very clean, as was the rest of the hotel. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, we were a bit disaster prone, losing keys, getting mixed up about taxis and they handled it very well. I thought there was a really nice atmosphere, it felt 'family run'. I would definitely recommend to friends and it would be my first choice if I was going to stay in that area again. So a '5' on all counts. I thought value for money was very good, even if we had paid the full price for the terrace room. So I'll be in touch the next ime we are in Mallorca.
