HOTELS

Hello Henrick,

My stay was wonderful. The accommodation and town was perfect. Local people were welcoming, this is appreciated as a solo traveller. Thank you for the recommendation it was perfect.

Service: 5
Food: 3
Cleanliness: 4
Value for money: 4
Sleep quality: 5

Would you recommend the hotel to a friend?
I would recommend, however the interior could do with updating. The dark wood in the rooms and furniture style is a little dated and feels too corporate for such a beautiful setting. My room view was stunning. .

Would you like to write a couple of general sentences about your stay? Staff were helpful.and warm. Swimming  pool was great.

Again Henrick thank you for everything your service is great. I would love to contact you again in the future.

My answers below: we had a wonderful time in Hotel Maristel in Estellencs!

How would you rate the following from 1-5 where 5 is the best rating:

Service:                 very good, friendly and to the point!
Food:                     we did enjoy an wonderful diner with compliments for the service (and wished the waiter a successful running trail ?)
Cleanliness:           very well
Value for money:    on a scale from 1 (very bad) to 10 (outstanding) an 8.5
Sleep quality:          we nearly lost each other, because of the size of the bed – excellent sleep ?.

Would you recommend the hotel to a friend? Yes, if only they are ‘walking people’: you must be an active visitor to fully enjoy Estellencs and its surroudings. And the hotel Maristel is a perfect start voor many hikes.

Would you like to write a couple of general sentences about your stay?

Estellencs is a cosy nice little village, where history and nature are perfectly in balance. The Hotel Maristel can boast a fine service and a magnificent view on the Mediteranean Sea with, when you are lucky, a perfect sunset.

This was already our third visit to Mallorca and we travelled for the second time with RuralHotelsMallorca: next time again!

Hi Henrik, I couldn’t find your Company on Trip Advisor, sorry I should have mentioned it in my review on reflection!
The Hotel was excellent, and the area fabulous, but although we are very pleased we went it wasn’t really suitable for our age group (80’s) due to the mountains and extremely steep hills even though we are pretty fit!  I suppose the description’Rural’ should have given us some insight!
The hotel was very nice, lovely pool and patio area, all very clean, comfortable beds and such helpful and friendly staff. Breakfasts were excellent, but the evening meals were a little limited for us, but the local ones were reasonable and lovely food.
We thought your organising for us was superb, the taxi was waiting for us to and from Palma airport, and your very quick replies to my emails were much appreciated.
Best wishes

Thanks Henrik. We had a great time and both hotels were very good. I’ll send you some proper feedback as soon as I have time.

Thanks

Hi Henrik,

We had a fabulous holiday.  The hotel you recommended was excellent in a beautiful location.  Your information guides were invaluable and provided a really useful add on to our guide book.

A few caveats.  The location is not for the faint hearted.  Getting anywhere entailed driving along winding mountainous roads, often very narrow.  Do not hire a large car!

Whilst the breakfast in the hotel was good it wasnt superb.  The restaurant meals were very disappointing and not to be recommended. Luckily there were 2 other very good restaurants in Estellencs.

The information guide could do with some editing to make it even more useful.  I'm very happy to pass on feedback if you would like.

Here's rating :

Pls see below for our feedback, bearing in mind the overall experience at the hotel and village & cove for us both was 9.3/EXCELLENT.

How would you rate the following from 1-5 where 5 is the best rating:

Service: 4.5
Food: 3
Cleanliness: 5
Value for money: 5
Sleep quality: 4.5

FYI:

There is no beach in the cove. Only rocks. Only space on flat rocks for 10-20 towel areas. It’s a 15+ min walk down to beach and 30+ coming back up.

Breakfast were excellent. Dinners were a bit random, ‘unusual’, limited menu and the weak spot of an otherwise delightful peaceful retreat with friendly staff.

Masseuse was very good. Pool and sun loungers excellent. V quiet generally, apart from chattering sparrows & cooing dives/pigeons!
Giardini Pizzeria is charming and cosy floral setting and good food. Husband & wife team?
The Montimar Restaurant is the smarter and best cuisine in town, though still relaxed atmosphere.
The Vallhermos Cafe where we had all our lunches (note: it’s shut on Wednesday) is delightfully positioned, simple foods. Service a bit slow.
Bar Sa Punteta, the beautifully positioned cafe down on the cove serves drinks, simple dishes normally from about 10.30-8.30pm. Note: Apart from a swim in the sea (shoes advised foyer locals for entry/exit) and a drink/lunch at the cafe, there’s not much else to do/sit comfortably here. But good exercise there and back.

Would you recommend the hotel to a friend? Yes.

In short, Estellencs is a very beautiful, immaculately maintained, tranquil Mallorcan coastal village in a strictly controlled Conservation Area off the beaten track. Apparently most Mallorcans don’t even know of it! So our Maristel Hotel and its facilities were perfect for a restorative and sunny week away.

With kind regards,
