Overview
Few places perfectly capture the essence and elegance of Mallorca’s southwest coast quite like this spectacular Mediterranean mansion. The main house tastefully balances understated grandeur with a cosy-yet-contemporary farmhouse feel. Its elevated hillside setting overlooking the bay of Camp de Mar affords spectacular coastal views from numerous vantage points, too. From shade-dappled pergolas to sun-drenched terraces, through sage-green wooden shutters and pairs of French doors, you’ll find yourself transfixed by breathtaking vistas wherever you are in the villa.
Surrounded by swaying palms while you cool off in the swimming pool, or reclining on comfy armchairs under a bamboo shade palapa for sundowners, you’ll find some real moments of magic during your stay at this wonderful slice of island luxury. Plus, with a separate guesthouse too, there’s plenty of space to share it with lots of family or friends.
The villa is located in a peaceful and exclusive hillside neighbourhood of Biniorella, with the bijou resort of Camp de Mar on one side and swanky Port d’Andratx on the other. Camp de Mar’s lovely golden beach is just a few minutes by car, or an easy 20-minute stroll downhill. Golfers can find the 18-hole Golf de Andratx course here, too. Keen sailors can easily charter a boat in Port d’Andratx, which is less than 10 minutes by road. If you fancy the buzz of a big city, the capital Palma is around half-an-hour’s drive, as is the international airport.
The are eight bedrooms across the whole property, comfortably sleeping up to 16 guests. Rooms are split between the main and guest house, with the largest being the master bedroom complete with sea-facing balcony; its ensuite bathroom also features a tub-with-views while you soak. Rooms in the main house all have sea views, too, while those in the guesthouse tend to open out to a pretty courtyard and lush gardens. All rooms either have their own bathroom room or are shared between two.
Picture yourself cooling off in the 32-square-metre L-shaped swimming pool while soaking up the stunning views down to the sea – it really is as lovely as it sounds. There are both deckchairs and comfy sun loungers to dry off on when you finally get out.
If you fancy flopping indoors, there’s a lovely big lounge too, with squishy sofas where you can listen to music or watch international TV.
The villa’s beautiful wooded kitchen is a wonderful space in which to cook, fully-equipped with top-range appliances, a breakfast table and extending to a separate pantry. Barbecue fans also have a choice between a built-in coal barbecue or a portable Weber grill, plus a covered outside table long enough for everyone to dine together.
For eating out you have several top-quality options in nearby Camp de Mar, most famously the Restaurant Illeta which sits on a tiny island accessible via footbridge. You’re also a short drive from the Beach Club Gran Folies, which boasts an excellent menu and seafront swimming pool.
