Food: 5,4
Cleanliness: 5, 5

Would you recommend the hotel to a friend? Yes to both.
Fornalutz was a great venue for both the village (shops and restauarants) and the mountain walking.
Banyalbufar also lovely with a bit less to do in and around the village but the seaside location was peaceful.

Thanks

Dear Henrik,

Many thanks. See below.

How would you rate the following from 1-5 where 5 is the best rating:
Service: 4
Food: 4
Cleanliness: 5
Value for money: 4
Sleep quality: 5

Would you recommend the hotel to a friend? Yes with some caveats. Kettle in room but no cups or sachets of coffee. Need to know in advance that you can’t book dinner after 10.00 am on the day. We had wanted to eat in the first evening and were told when we arrived we couldn’t because we hadn’t booked by 10.00 am. Hotel told us of a couple of places to eat in the village but both were closed. It was difficult to find anywhere with space.

Would you like to write a couple of general sentences about your stay? Beautiful views from the hotel and lovely swimming pool.
Best wishes,

Dear Henrik,

Thank you for making our booking arrangements at Sa Coma. We had a very comfortable and happy stay there, with 3 adjoining rooms, with perfect view and terraces.  The room service (bed making etc) was discreet and done while we were at breakfast. Very quiet at night.

* Food is the only thing we wouldn't rate as 5. The breakfast was excellent, with very pleasant staff.  But there was no food service at lunchtime and dinner was apparently brought in daily from Palma. We tried it 3 times and it was not great. No doubt these problems arose from Covid-related staff problems. The result was that we had a steep walk up to the village for lunch and dinner most days: fortunately we were still fit enough to handle this but less mobile people would have had a problem.

* We would happily recommend the hotel to friends, subject to the above points.

* The family who own the hotel were charming and helpful. The terraces lovely for sitting in the evenings. The pool was excellent and the other guests were very pleasant - our grandson made good friends with another boy of his age. The village remains charming and there are several restaurants with excellent food, staff and atmosphere.

All in all it was a very enjoyable holiday in one of the most beautiful parts of Mallorca. Thank you and your team very much for helping us organise it.

Hi there

Service - 5 everyone was friendly & helpful
Food - 4 I can only comment on breakfast and it was fine but personally I would have liked a better range of fresh fruit
Cleanliness - 5
Value for money - 5
Sleep quality - 4 because we could hear a constant and especially the last day loud hum/generator or something.  - I had to wear ear plugs at nights

Hello Henrik,
We had a great holiday, Thank you!
Sa Coma does what Rural Hotels Mallorca said it would -  a quiet, friendly family run hotel where you feel well looked after and receive prompt and professional service. Breakfast was lovely with an excellent range of food and a variety of egg dishes cooked to order by the chef. The location is stunning and the view from the hotel balcony at sunset is incredible. We loved the pool and location near to the beach although the steepness of the hills into the village and down to the beach would not suit everyone. Banyalbufar is a lovely village in the majestic Serra Tramuntana and full of great places to eat. What made this holiday extra special was the personalised service from Henrik at Rural Hotels Mallorca so that we could choose the ideal location for our stay and to make the most of our own interests in the stunning scenery of western Mallorca. The level of information about our hotel and where to visit on our stay was very good. We would definitely recommend this hotel for those who want a relaxing, quieter stay in stunning scenery and in a small village which seems far away from the noise and bustle of Palma.
We would rate the hotel as follows:
Service - 5
Food - 4 (we only had breakfast which was lovely but didn't eat dinner at the hotel so we could be unfair with a 4 here)
Cleanliness - 5
Value for money - 5
Sleep quality - 5
Best wishes and thank you so much!

Would you like to write a couple of general sentences about your stay?

The ‘beach’ was disappointing. There wasn’t really a beach but the sea was beautiful. The town had some lovely restaurants but if staying for any longer than 4/5 nights you’d have to go further afield for something new.

Th older lady working behind the reception desk when we arrived wasn’t particularly accommodating but the other members of staff were very friendly and helpful.

The highlight was the amazing balcony views over the sea. You could watch the sunset from your room and it was beautiful. The pool was lovely as well (slightly cold but very refreshing).

Would definitely visit again for a short stay but it is definitely missing a sandy beach!

Hi Henrik
The holiday has been fantastic and I will complete the surveys when back home.
Is there a chance of delaying the transfer to the airport to Palma until 18.45as the two people on the flight to Gatwick with easyJet have been notified that their flight is delayed by an hour?
I look forward to hearing from you if this is possible.

Sleep quality: WE ARE POOR SLEEPERS SO N/A
GOOD POOL AND PRETTY GARDEN

Would you recommend the hotel to a friend? YES – THEY NEED TO KNOW IT`S A 3* HOTEL – ITS SIMPLE WITH WARDROBE CUPBOARD DOORS AND DRAWERS THAT STICK AS DID THE ROOM DOOR!  BUT WELL RUN
Would you like to write a couple of general sentences about your stay?
A BEAUTIFUL LOCATION WITH WONDERFUL SEA VIEWS.  PRETTY VILLAGE.  WE DIDN`T HAVE A CAR SO THE VERTICAL ROADS WERE A BIT OF A CHALLENGE AND YOUR SUGGESTION FOR A STROLL IN THE VILLAGE AMUSED US!

Hi Henrik,
Thank you for your email and thank you again for inviting us to have dinner at Sa Coma.
The hotel is charming and the members of staff that we met were helpful and welcoming.
We have no complaints about the cleanliness.
In terms of sleep quality, the hotel is very tranquil although the mattress and pillows were too hard for us, but that is a personal thing and was exactly the same in our accommodation in Palma.

In terms of the food, we only ate at the hotel on the first evening and it was a slightly strange experience. On being seated, we were immediately served a tasty sardine salad, without any reference to any allergies etc and we didn’t get shown a menu.
We were then served a tasty ( large portion) of lasagna, again, we were not shown a menu. We assumed this was the main course. We were then shown a menu and asked if we wanted a salmon main course! (Which incidentally had obviously been pre cooked prior to order and kept warm, resulting in a very dry offering)
Overall it’s a charming hotel, all our special room requests ie high floor and great sea views were met.
The bathroom looks a bit tired and the hotel is definitely  homely rather than luxury, but perfectly comfortable, peaceful and with fabulous views.

I will do a Tripadvisor review and definitely mention yourself and your company.
Should we decide to return to Mallorca, I would definitely look to book through you again.
Thank you once again for all your help and hospitality.
Kind regards

Henrik Hi

Just wanted to let you know that we had a great holiday in Mallorca and are very appreciative of your excellent advice and suggestions. The four locations were a very good combination and all the hotels very good - Cas Sant a real gem. We also found your notes very helpful, and had no problems getting around with taxis and public transport. In addition the weather was near perfect!

Thank you

How would you rate the following from 1-5 where 5 is the best rating:
Service: 4
Food: 4 ..altho they must stop bbq’ing the breakfast bacon, it keeps catching fire and is a ‘very‘ unhealthy way to cook/ eat it!
Cleanliness: 4
Value for money: 4
Sleep quality: 4 -  the first night there were no mattress toppers fitted on any of our beds and it was extremely uncomfortable for all of us, remedied (when we complained) for the second night but quite frankly mattress toppers should be fitted always to all beds..

Would you recommend the hotel to a friend? Yes excellent location and overall very pleasant.

Dear Henrik,

We have just returned from a lovely 9 days in Mallorca staying at the Sa Coma hotel in Banyalbufar.  Everything went smoothly and the Sa Coma was a great retreat.  Juan was a marvellous host - nothing being too much trouble and he was waiting for us when we eventually arrived at 1.15 in the morning on Monday 20th!  The hotel is very clean and the food is reasonably priced and good.

Thank you for recommending the hotel and for all your help with the booking alterations - Covid etc.  All that was very easy and we now just have to do the Day 2 test and post it off.

Best Wishes,

CM 09/21
