HOTELS

Hallo Henrik, We had a super holiday on Mallorca, the three hotels were very different reflecting their individual locations on the island. Ses Fetget was in a beautiful location overlooking the bay of Cala Millor and Cala Bona. Service   4/5, Food   Breakfast was excellent 5/5 Lunch good value for money 5/5 Dinner we found expensive with quite large portion sizes 4/5, Cleanliness   Excellent 5/5, Value for money  4/5, Sleep quality   Comfortable bed and pillows, lovely bed linen and extremely peaceful 4/5. The gardens were well cared for but not extensive and the pool lovely. Hotel Binibona was completely different being at the foot of the Tramunta mountains with an aura of calmness.  The access roads are very narrow though not busy. Service was excellent from everybody, nothing was too much trouble. 5/5 Food was superb, the inclusion of Mallorca dishes adding to the whole experience. 5/5 Cleanliness 4/5 - just not up to the standard of Ses Fetget but still acceptable, Value for money 5/5, Sleep quality 5/5 Equally as good as Ses Fetget but with the advantage of air conditioning. The gardens were beautifully kept, the pool superb with plenty of loungers and chairs. Son Cosmet was very close to the beautiful beaches of the south east coast. Service - 3/5 - because it is also a working farm it wasn't always easy to find anyone to help but once found the help was always forthcoming. Food - 3/5 the breakfast buffet was not as impressive as the other hotels, Cleanliness 5/5 - it was spotless, Value for money - 4/5, Sleep quality - 4/5 - the air conditioning unit was inefficient and the room extremely stuffy however the bed linen was beautiful and the bed very comfortable. The grounds were extensive, one could walk anywhere on the land with wildlife in abundance and the pool was huge. Thank you again for all your help.

One of the best holidays.  The Ses Cases Fetget was a great find. Personal because it has been in the family for generations and still run by the family. They were around to speak to us. 5 out of 5 all round. A delightful setting, most sophisticated of  the 3 hotels we stayed in Mallorca. Very restful. Dining experience was delightful, delicious food, interesting breakfast choices. Lovely pool. Quiet location, comfy bed, no disturbances, good night sleeps. Nearby places of interest and beaches filled out 3 day stay. Happy to return . Thankyou for your help and our introduction to Mallorca, an island we did not know and will certainly return, it is a super island and your printed suggestions were so helpful and followed on many occasions. Best Wishes,

Dear Henrik, Once again thank you for all your help in advising us on our latest holiday in Mallorca. Both Ses Cases de Fetget and Sa Carrtoja were excellent hotels for a quiet rural holiday with particularly easy access to the harbours, beaches and resorts on the east coast. They both score five out of five on all the points of your rating system:- Service/Food/Cleanliness/Value for money/Sleep qualitySes Cases de Fetget is particularly notable for its contemporary feel, superb location, with 360 degree views of the surrounding countryside, from its extensive garden, and a spectacular restaurant which was clearly a hit with not only the residents but diners from a wider area. Sa Carrotja is a delightful hotel with a more traditional feel, a wonderful garden and a really lovely courtyard dining area with a gorgeous bougainvillea draping over the covered dining area. The food was traditional and very tasty, we ate there five out of the seven nights we stayed. The restaurant and kitchen staff were very friendly and looked after us extremely well. We were looking for a relaxing holiday with good food, quiet small and friendly hotels not far from the coast and near a village for alternative dining opportunities. - We had it all!! Henrik, once again thank you for all your help and advice. Kind regards

Hi Henrik, We are now back and settled into work mode sadly following a wonderful holiday in Mallorca. As we stayed in three locations it is difficult to answer just the once about everywhere we stayed. What I will say is that we were delighted with all three hotels: Fornalutx Petit Hotel, Ses Cases Fetget, Son Ametler. They were all clean, comfortable with nice showers and good appointments. Breakfast was very good at all three with a good fresh selection and served by very happy attentive staff. We paid differing amounts per night in the hotels and that was reflected in the quality of the fixtures and fittings plus the offering such as swimming pools, restaurants etc. We would quite happily return to all three although our preference is the mountains as we liked that area better than the beach side but that is only personal preference. When we go back we will definitely be in touch with you and thanks for organising a great holiday. Kind Regards

Dear Henrik, Thank you for your email. I was going to email you anyway to say what a wonderful time we had, and how pleased we were to be back at Ses Cases de Fetget. The junior suite was lovely, and thanks to a cancellation, we were able to stay in the suite for the four nights, without paying extra.  We were very grateful for this.  The service, and the food are very good. We would especially recommend the tasting menu for dinner, very good value and delicious food.   Just in case you're not aware and it might be useful information - if you arrive on a Sunday (as we did) the reception isn't open. The keys were left on the desk, and we had to find a waiter to let us in. He just showed us to our room and said we could check in the next day when the desk was open. This was fine for us, as we had been before, but a new visitor might think the welcome lacked a little information.  Also, it clearly is a hotel for Germans. Again, didn't bother us - we quite like there being no British people, but every other guest was German. The staff spoke English though, so all good. The junior suite (room 9) was very nice. The only feedback i would give is that it would benefit hugely from a practical point of view of having a mirror in the main room. The only mirror in the suite was in the bathroom, which meant I couldn't get ready whilst my husband was showering, and needed to wait until he was out of the shower.  Small thing, but would make a big difference.  The food, the views, and the peace and quiet are what makes this hotel very special.  Thanks for booking it for us, and getting us a booking when i thought it was too late.  I'm sure we'll be in touch again soon.   Thanks,

Dear Henrik, We had a great stay at the hotel and would rate everything highly except that it felt very impersonal......we did not find the receptionist very available or very welcoming. Who owns it? Where are they? Do they care who is there? A shame because very thing else is so good

Hi Henrik, I have just picked this up. My Gmail is a mess!! We had an amazing time at Ses Cases de Fetget. We could not rate the hotel high enough. The staff were so attentive and we really did feel like we were given extra special treatment (after speaking with other guests it turns out this is how they treat all of their guests!) We had such a relaxing time and it was just what were looking for. A couple of the girls plan to go back with their husbands. The island is beautiful and this was a great base. On a couple of days we just hung out by the pool which was so peaceful and quiet. The food was outstanding as was the service – so personal and full of recommendations and advice. The rooms were lovely and we had everything we needed. We feel like we made real friends with the staff and were well and truly rested after the break.

Overview

This astonishing traditional farmhouse is located on a vast country estate alongside the sea. Ses Cases de Fetget is the ultimate place to discover Majorca and the Majorcan landscape in a very different light.

This 17th-century Majorcan house is located between Son Servera and Artá, on a stretch of land that is surrounded by mountains and almond groves. The estate’s buildings were restored, with utmost respect for their original features and personality.

Sleep in magnificent rooms and rest in full contact with nature. Choose from four suites, three double rooms and one single room. The distinguishing features of all rooms are their ample space, their light and above all, their decoration. The absolute uniformity of the flooring, ceilings and walls is complete with avant-garde furniture and decorative items featuring pure, geometric shapes, all in metal and wood.

All rooms are furnished with air conditioning, heating, a mini-bar, in-room safe, Internet, bathrobes, a hair dryer and satellite television. Moreover, guests can visit the spa, free of charge.

This is indeed an ideal spot for an unforgettable encounter with nature. Nestled in the Llevant Natural Park, trees and vegetation adorn a space that is reigned by peace and tranquillity.

In addition to offering you a peaceful, pleasant stay, the estate is located less than 10 minutes by car from the beautiful beaches Costa dels Pins, Cala Millor, Sa Coma, Cala Agulla, Es Rajolí, Cala Mesquida, Cala Torta and others.

Ses Cases de Fetget is also just a few kilometres away from the famous Coves del Drac, or Caves of the Dragon´s.

Around the estate are also various old trails that you are sure to enjoy for recreational jaunts by bike or on horseback.

There is also a swimming pool with a jacuzzi, a terrace and a sundeck for those who prefer to just sit back and enjoy the peace and comfort of the estate.

Yet another important reason to visit the Ses Cases de Fetget estate is its restaurant, featuring an up-to-date menu that is nevertheless rooted in traditional dishes: creative Mediterranean, Majorcan cuisine, made with natural and fresh market products. Indeed, the heart of the cooking resides in the flavour of the food, its balance, and an element of surprise and originality.

This is all complete with an exquisite service and excellent wine cellar. One of the secrets of this magical spot is its organic vegetable garden, where the hotel grow the vegetables that inspire the cuisine and uphold the roots of the traditional recipes that are enhanced with a very avant-garde touch.
