Chill out on Portals Vells beach

Posted: Wednesday, 19th June 2024

Portals Vells is a remote natural beach in the south west of island of Mallorca, right on the tip of Palma Bay.

You can access the beach via boat from the Puerto Pollensa, or you’ll need to hire a car or vespa. There’s no public transport to this secluded beach, but street parking is free, and there is also disabled access.

Portals Vells beach is very family friendly thanks to the fine grained sand and calm, shallow, turquoise water. The pretty rock pool areas mean the kids can hunt for fish and crabs while parents relax on the sun loungers and under the umbrellas provided.

Plan a whole day out as there are other great facilities such as a large restaurant and toilet block.

Although it can get very busy in the summer months, it is well worth making the journey to this idyllic piece of paradise, that is a locals favourite spot.
