Festa des Vermar (Wine Festival), Binissalem

If you are a wine enthusiast then the best time to visit Majorca is during September for the Festa des Vermar in Binissalem from the 14th to the 26th.

The island has more than 60 estates producing over 300 different varieties of wine and September is when the annual grape harvest is in full swing and many celebrations, tastings and competitions are taking place.

On the last day of the festival a huge concert is being held in the Church Square in of Binissalem. Make sure you join in the grape battle from midday and all are welcome to taste wines from 4.30pm.

Some recommended estates to visit include Jose Luis Ferrer Estate and Bodegas Angel Vineyard.
