Es Trenc Beach, Mallorca

Posted: Monday, 18th December 2023

Es Trenc is the most famous beach in Majorca and stretches across 5km backed by sand dunes. It is located in the south of Mallorca near the small village of Ses Capetes and is well known as a naturist or nudist beach. It is very under-developed with no hotels lining the beach and therefore there are not lots of dining options, however there are a few snack bars.

The water is a gorgeous turquoise blue as it is very shallow and the sand is fine and white. It is very busy during peak season from June to August, especially on the weekends, with locals and tourists alike.

Behind the beach is the salt lagoon of Es Salobrar as well as 500m of sand dunes. This is one of the few areas where sand dunes can be found in Majorca.

If you are staying in Palma then it is advisable to rent a car and drive rather than taking a taxi which will be very expensive.Head through Campos following signs to Santanyi then look out for the sign on your right that signals Es Trenc. Be warned that it is not well sign posted and remember to bring some cash to pay for parking.
