Cycling in Alcudia – La Victoria

Posted: Thursday, 10th November 2011

If you have a bit of experience with cycling then there is a lovely 12km route from Alcúdia to Ermita de la Victoria and back to la Atalaya de Alcúdia (444 metres high). Although the distance is not very long, it is not suitable for beginners due to the steep nature and winding roads.

The difficult course will be well worth it when you get a fantastic view of the entire bay of Pollenca and watch tower that was built in 1599. Once you get to the Ermita it is possible to climb up on foot to the Atalaya (a scenic viewpoint), which is about an hour’s walk. If you want to continue on bike then you will have to have a mountain bike as the roads are very stony.
