Hiking Mallorca: circuit from Fornalutx to Mirador de ses Barques

There is a fabulous circuit from Fornalutx to Mirador de ses Barques. Coastal, rural and countryside views are there for the taking. Best of all, the walk is an easy one. 
Picturesque Fornalutx is your starting point where the air is fragranced by citrus groves and olive plantations. Follow a rather steep stone path that intersects with the mountain road leading to Lluc. On you will go to the sound of birdsong with the occasional percussion of tinkling sheep bells. Relatively gentle stone paths lead on to the Mirador where you can look out over beautiful Puerto de Soller. Dramatic hillside really adds to the oastal scenery too. The contrast between green hills leading out into turquoise sea is really quite remarkable. If you are of a mind to stay a while, Mirador de ses Barques becomes even more beautiful by sunset. 
Once it is time to leave Mirador de ses Barques, you can cut a gentle trail back via Cami Vell de Balitz..
