3 great foodie walks in Mallorca

Posted: Sunday, 2nd February 2014

Some of us like to work up an appetite before indulging in our dinner, and what better way than a romantic stroll or energetic walk to a delicious restaurant! Here are three of our favorite foodie walks in Mallorca where you can get a little exercise and great meal too.

Soller to Fornalutx for Es Turo Restaurant

The walk from the village of Soller to the village of Fornalutx is a picturesque and easy one on smaller roads and only takes around 45 minutes. When you arrive in Fornalutx, make your way to a restaurant called Es Turo. It is located just through the village towards Pollenca on the right hand side, you’ll probably spot the beautiful terrace as you approach it!

Es Turo serves amazing seafood and traditional dishes using local produce. We especially love their Tumbet (a Mallorcan ratatouille) and their fantastic paella. Plus, the views over the valley are just gorgeous at midday and sunset.

Along the beach at Puerto Soller for Campo Sol Restaurant

Drive down to the sea and beach in Puerto Soller and then go for a nice walk along the beach towards the lighthouse, the restaurant is called Campo Sol and is located behind the main street and closer to the road that takes you up to the light house. If you get lost ask some locals for directions!! This is a great place that is always packed full of locals who flock there to feast on their great local dishes. It’s not fancy food, just simple and delicious – what more can you ask for?!

To the lighthouse at Puerto Soller for El Faro Restaurant

If you are looking for some of the best sea views in Mallorca, then the walk up from Puerto Soller to the lighthouse to visit El Faro Restaurant is a must! The walk only takes around 30 minutes and there is plenty of beautiful scenery to check out on the way.

After your journey, settle yourself down in El Faro restaurant to eat the most delicious fish you’ve ever tasted and enjoy some local wine.

Are you looking for hotels in and around Soller? We have two beautiful ones to suggest:

  • Cas Xorc - much more than a country hotel, it is a special haven nestled in the mountains of Sóller with over 200 years of history in the walls.
  • Cal Bisbe - previously an olive oil factory which now has been converted into a beautiful and modern hotel in the heart of the village of Soller.
