Wonderful place, the last road to the hotel is a bit tricky. The morning sounds from the garden wakes you up a bit early

We stayed in Majorca another week where we have a time share at Son Antem, unfortunately, we came back with covid hence we've not replied for a while.

Cas Xorc was lovely in terms of scenery, plant life and the building itself and the rooms. 

The service was 5, cleanliness 5, and Sleep quality 5, Food was 3-4 and Value for money 3. 

I need to explain the two lower scores though.

The food was excellent however, if you are staying at the hotel all week as we were and not going out, the lunch and dinner menu is exactly the same all week which, is also expensive and you struggle to choose what you want each day due to the sameness.

In a nutshell all the hotels were fantastic exactly what I wanted and thanks for your help. Only slight issue is the lack of evening food at Son Grec but I did mention this it would have been nice at least for a couple of days not to have to go out for dinner….. but I also understand why they don’t cater for evening food

This is a special hotel with amazing views from high in the Tramuntana and a challenging hairpin bends drive to get to it. From arrival to departure the staff were friendly and helpful, they gave great advice on places to visit and ensured we had a relaxing stay. Barettes restaurant provides meals with stupendous view that attracts visitors from nearby Soller. It is ‘a place to be seen’ so provides hotel residents with and entertaining evening and a slow dining experience.

We would certainly recommend Son Barbassa to a friend, or anyone else.

The hotel is ideally situated for visiting the north east side of the island. Arta and Capdepera (only a couple of miles away) are delightful and interesting towns. The staff and facilities are excellent at the hotel, the swimming pool is magnificent and the restaurant has lovely food and great views. This was our second stay there and we would happily go again.

Thanks for the recommendations and both hotels were excellent.
The views at Cas Xorc were stunning but the drive up was a little hair-raising.
Overall I would rate them both well for food, service, and value my only niggle was in both hotels the beds were a little hard for me.

Would you recommend the hotel to a friend? Definitely.

Would you like to write a couple of general sentences about your stay? Beautiful hotel, paradisiacal. Love the gardens and pool. Had some of the best food in Mallorca at the restaurant. Staff were warm, generous and accommodating. Beautiful hikes are easily accessible from the hotel. Only negatives: you can hear restaurant guests from the rooms overlooking the restaurant and the driveway to the hotel is challenging.

Hello Henrik, Thanks for the message. We liked Cas Xorc very much and would give it a 5 on all points. We would recommend to friends and would stay there again Unfortunately we had no sun -  it was cool with high winds and cloud but the saviour was the fact that we had a fire in the bedroom with a plentiful supply of logs so we just relaxed and had a nice lazy time. We look forward to returning in better weather to make the most of the gardens and pool and those amazing views! Thank you for your help with this holiday.  Kind regards

Dear Henrik We are very happy with our stay in Mallorca  the three hotels that you recommended us are marvelous. CA’S XORX is perhaps more eceptionnel because it combines the natural setting of the mountain, the design sophistication, the quality of service and the excellent table FINCA SON MAS is also a magical place but we must accept the discretion of the service. the staff is very nice but not enough present. the catering service is to simple. our trip, north and south, allowed us a clear view of the island in its geographical complexity. In Palma, we enjoyed PALAU SA FONT. simpler, less expensive but good location and very nicely managed by a young team (excellent breakfast). therefore, everything is very positive for us and we thank you. for information, we had a wonderful cruise on a catamaran which allowed us to tour the island. thank you  sincerely yours

The setting was very pretty & quiet.The town Fornalutx was beautifully kept and the staff in the restaurants were very friendly. The service at the hotel was excellent and personal. As there was no service during the day it would have been great to have tea making facilities. Hello Henrik, Thanks for your email.  We would rate the hotels we stayed at as follows: Cas Xorc Service - 5 Food - 4 Cleanliness - 5 Value for money - 4 Sleep quality - 5 We loved the hotel and have and will recommend it. The food was very good but expensive compared to similar quality restaurants in Soller. On the whole, we throughly enjoyed staying at these hotels and will almost certainly stay again. Best wishes.

Dear Henrik, I apologize for not writing sooner, I have been quite busy with traveling. Our stay was wonderful, so wonderful that we both fell in love with Mallorca and decided last week to have our May 25th 2013 wedding there!!! I would rate Cas Xorc a five on everything! From the moment we arrived at the Hotel we fell in love with it’s charm and loved the fact that it felt more like a private home than a hotel. The grounds are wonderful and so romantic. The staff were kind and helpful, friendly and always seemed willing to go the extra mile.
