Guerilla knitting in Palma, Mallorca

Posted: Wednesday, 13th June 2012

Have you hard of guerilla gardening? Where people make over a garden in the middle of the night without the permission of the owner.

Well, something similar has been happening in the past two years all over Spain. Except, instead of gardening, it’s knitting. People have been covering lamp posts, landmarks and street signs with their knitted creations and this month it was Palma, Mallorca’s turn.

Just a few days ago, in the dead of night, they created a beautiful knitted garden under this big old tree – complete with little knitted animals hanging in the branches. So adorable!
